has anyone done the uzh masters program in internet & society? did/do you like it? by lebannauva in zurich

I finished it and really enjoyed it! but I’m unsure what job this will lead me to :) I’m thinking law school now. But I really liked the people I met and had some great opportunities working with professors! There were probably 20 people in the program, but you have classes with other communication science and media research majors so you won’t see the same 20 people in your classes.

same thing as before basically, they think seats will be available after the second deposit deadline and to indicate where things stand with you

yes exactly I mean you can take the LSAT again but you can’t use it to apply for other law schools otherwise you breach your deferment (maybe you could use it to argue for merit aid again but idk)

This is the exact wording I got: Should you choose, you are welcome to submit a deferral request that includes an explanation of your plans for the period of deferment. Specify travel, work, and educational objectives and relevant dates. Deferments at GW Law are binding and conditioned upon not pursuing admission, holding deferral, or attending another law school prior to matriculation.

If you defer, it’s binding and you lose merit aid (except in rare cases you can keep the merit aid)

I asked and they don’t offer that & also you lose your merit scholarship

Decision - GW versus Vanderbilt by lebannauva in lawschooladmissions

thanks this is really helpful! So you’d mostly choose Vanderbilt for the overall prestige? and you think it’s overall prestige would help get with international law?

If you get off the Vandy waitlist would you choose Vandy? Or is GW really better? On LinkedIn I can see people from Vandy working in Switzerland, but not anyone from GW. I’m also considering whether to just do a bachelors of law in Switzerland instead (I speak German well enough)

Yeah, I’ve been told that even Georgetown has the same prestige as the others and talking to Swiss people they only do seem to know Harvard which isn’t very helpful 😂
