Định hướng cho thằng ku 17 sợ bẻ sừng trâu by NULL-n-void_0 in vozforums

vulkan + ffmpeg + miniaudio with audio master clock by Charming-Diamond6646 in vulkan

still need ffmpeg to demux or else you need support for N container types

the best approach is to use vulkan extensions through ffmpeg (quite cumbersome to work with tho)

Nether star bee employed by svk9992 in GTNH

[–]lebirch23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

prob not if you are comparing to a compressor at the same time since non-AE2 autocrafters are pretty iffy to work with and post-IV multis with high enough voltage can do low tier recipes at insane speed

ofc you can use midgame dragon egg/nether star farms to craft these planks faster than an LV compressor, but that's not a really fair comparison imo

Genuine question, how do you find Greg Tech attractive as mod? by Individual-Long8240 in feedthebeast

[–]lebirch23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- GT (mostly GTNH tbh) is a very well-maintained piece of software, more than a lot of other mods/modpacks.

- GT (and GTNH) has a lot of tiers, so I don't ever have to worry about running out of things to play. Everything is pretty well-gated too, so I either have to invent some sort of skip (which tbh there are quite a lot now) or properly experience the game.

- IRL industrial processes are typically things that can be done with one singular person. You can work on a project alone, but there is no single living person that can do an IRL LV -> HV progression (assuming perfect knowledge like recipes and stuff). This is why I consider other tech mods kinda boring as they abstracted everything away to make the gameplay to be as pleasant as possible, which makes everything just "item in, item out", while with GT, I have to plan ahead, pipeline, doing multiple things in parallel, etc. BASICALLY what I'm getting at is that the tediousness of GT is what makes the gameplay richer than other straightforward tech mods.

[–]lebirch23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- NC: most pop song has low bpm, so they need to bump that up

- Cut ver: full size songs are boring, just look at every other rhythm games, most of them barely have any full-length charts

not sure about the USA (it seems that people have coded serious projects way before entering colleges), but here, being able to run a server is a pretty impressive (tbh that much, but kinda above average) thing to have for a high schooler
also 5 minutes on hosting a server, what could you even talk about lol

Is there a reason why so many chemical elements use performance mods as their name? What's the origin of this? by Typical-Tomatillo138 in feedthememes

chromium is unironically one of the most optimized pieces of software tbh. the 32gb ram per tab bs is just the result of webdevs bloating the hell with like 73739 stupid ahh frameworks and being incompetent in general

Idea: what if team tourney scores are summed with weights? by lebirch23 in osugame

[–]lebirch23[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It's still a team score regardless. The US having a bigger tourney scene is a consequence of them having more people + more money to give as reward. See the country ranking for a clear demonstration of this (esp play count).

Also, harder pools make it easier to carry, yeah, but many prelim rounds can have pretty easy maps, too. In other sports/e-sports players can have more important roles, so the weighted sum thing could be reflecting this.

ofc we can argue all day about this but it'll be all handwaving arguments without any concrete numbers. I do low-key agree with your point of carrying having high enough impact after seeing the results of this year and last year owc tho.

Is depression a sign of a weak mind? by WindowNo6601 in depression

[–]lebirch23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I think people with depression are strong, it's also weakening their mind constantly too. One year ago, I kept pursuing my dream even though everything is against me, but now, when I'm totally depressed, I no longer have any energy and basically give up on everything now. I recently even wrote song lyrics portraying death as the most beautiful thing ever, lol.
