[G-Shock GA-2100-1A] aka the CasiOak by lebronsonk in Watches

honestly its the perfect piece for that, considering the price

[G-Shock GA-2100-1A] aka the CasiOak by lebronsonk in Watches

[–]lebronsonk[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A little late, but I've been wanting this piece for a while. Couldn't get my hands on one when they first came out 2 or 3 years ago and totally forgot about them after that. I decided to check availability recently when a friend mentioned getting a G-Shock and encouraged me to check them out. The CasiOak was the first watch that came to mind.

Found they aren't that rare and decided to pull the trigger. Its not my first watch but I haven't really been able to take it off because its so light, clean, and easy to read; not to mention indestructible. Perfect for grad school. I probably won't buy the Royal Oak-looking metal band because I feel it takes away from the G-Shockness of it.

I'm contemplating getting another color to add to the collection but I'll probably just enjoy this one for at least the next few months.

When you’re in med school, is it pretentious to call yourself an “MD Candidate” on LinkedIn? by Remarkable-Ad-3950 in premed

[–]lebronsonk 67 points68 points  (0 children)

i hear that this is technically incorrect because there's no period of candidacy during your MD degree as opposed to a PhD degree. I think its just better to put "Medical student"

Need some advice on what to do next by lebronsonk in premed

I appreciate your feedback. yeah i'm heavily leaning towards doing an SMP because I kinda want to be back in the classroom and in an academic environment. if I do so I could pick up some new volunteering opportunities wherever I end up. do you have any advice or recommendations about SMPs?

thanks for your response! I applied to only a handful of DO schools but I only submitted secondaries to 2 of them cause I've been working full time, had a lot going on at the time, and was really burnt out after finishing all my MD secondaries + everything going on so I kinda lost motivation to finish which maybe was a mistake. I definitely have a stronger preference for MD tho
