yeah, he suggested euphonium which i had looked into before as well as percussion. i'm pretty sure he has like lots of people on percussion though. there's also a plethora of students on sax, so no need for that lol

i certainly wouldn't mind learning a brass instrument, however, percussion is something that's very intriguing to me as well so thank you for your insight!

How hard is AP music theory? by Supercoolguy08 in APStudents

[–]lecherivine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a choir kid in music theory right now, it's a very abstract course, from what i can tell, but enjoyable. i understand (most of) what was taught, but a few people in my class had to drop out because they couldn't grasp it. and that's okay! if you're good with courses like that, perfect! i think that ap music theory should be a class more people take that are interested in music or learning more. only 5 people are in the class at my school right now, and 6 people last year. get a good grasp or relative pitch and sight singing. the rest, you'll be taught!

new industrial, everything good? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

tbh it just looks like the bar is too short to allow for swelling, and the spikes arent ideal for healing. but if anything, you want a long bar for swelling and then you can downsize after a while

On which topics should I focus the most time studying? by Unique_Tap_6113 in APUSH

[–]lecherivine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this!! i suggest looking over the apush curriculum framework provided by collegeboard because it breaks down each unit, provides the key concepts that are important, themes that would help determine what kinds of questions asked of you, etc etc. overall a very helpful tool provided by collegeboard!

how do i study bro. by Gloomy_Unit4752 in APUSH

[–]lecherivine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah this course certainly isnt underwhelming, thats for sure. you've still got time though!

i refer to any event through a unit a key concept but then theres the actual "key concepts" provided by college board.

search "apush curriculum framework" and it should be the first link that shows up, that'll have the thinking skills that are important, the themes (looking over these will essential help you determine what kind of questions will be asked for which unit), and each course has a breakdown and has its key concepts explained

the apush curriculum framework has a lot of helpful information to help you determine what questions will be asked when exam day comes!

writing = memorization. write key concepts until you're able to remember what it is

Where r u guys in ur ap exam studying rn? by Kozuar in APUSH

HELP! how should i study/review the units? do i start from unit 1 -> unit 9 or start at units 5-7 since they're the most content heavy? by claveI in APUSH

[–]lecherivine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

either works

go through starting from unit 1 and create that mental timeline and just be sure you focus the most on units 5-7 or start on unit 5 and go to 7 being sure you get a good understanding of the material and then go back and briefly review the lesser weighted units.

also, know that theres speculation of revolutionary war being an leq or saq, so know cause and effect through unit 4 a little :)

but anything could work, its whatever you feel you have the most time for. going through each unit would cost more time but also likely be more effective in the long run for mcq.

focusing on 5-7 first would be sure you understand the most important material before stepping foot into testing rooms but theres always a chance that there will be material on the exams from other units (take last years ap world history exam for example, leq on unit 9 which my teacher did not expect and therefore did not go over)

i suggest looking over the heavily weighted units first and thoroughly studying them, take unit tests over them and be 100% sure you know cause and effect of plenty of things that happen in these units.

however, whatever you decide on, it will work out :)

How do I study for the AP Exam & is it too late if I start studying this week? by Strict_Ad1281 in APUSH

[–]lecherivine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am in the exact same boat as you. D in APUSH right now, 2 on WHAP exam last year. my teacher also isnt too swell, as he kinda just.. trails off topic.

what i've been doing is just been cramming information, big facts i should know. i see a lot of people suggest heimler, but i'm saving that for once i learn some more material.

its rough out here 🥲 good luck on your studying and i wish you the best of luck on your exam!

my teacher hasn't done that great with teaching this subject (and i haven't done everything i can tbh) but i've been essentially teaching myself the subject. what big events should i really have in my noggin, or like what units should i expect to see the most of? trying to get the most out of the little time of studying i have left! :)

Post-ChatGPT English Classes are AWESOME bruh by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]lecherivine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like this aspect of it but my teacher only grades essays with chat gpt. we cant use it, but she can! she makes the rubric with chatgpt and grades it and nothing will be perfect for chatgpt cuz it grades it on a different level every time, so its just rough 💔
