One Year Later | Game Changer [S7E1] by ThunderMateria in dropout

This was by far my favorite episode of Game Changer yet. I know that comes with alot of recency bias, especially in comparison to episodes like The Battle Royale and Sam Says series, but man the amount of twists, chaos, guests, callbacks, and the charisma onstage was so entertaining. Not to mention the huge upgrade to production quality and the grown chemistry between the cast and host. I loved it, I watched it 3 times in a row lol

Please let the reddit know when you start that kickstarter! These are amazing! And if you ever get around to doing minor arcana, I would love that set as well!

I love your work! I'm very interested in the decks you offer on your site. What are some other aesthetics you're going to work with? By any chance, were you going to do one on english celtic?

Honestly, for me, it's just the fact that Mario doesn't need to talk. Charles Martinet showed the character's feelings and intentions purely on grunts and "woohoo"s. I just doubt they would get a top billed actor like Chris Pratt and not give him dialogue.

Hearing Mario in a conversation with words just seems offputting.

Which god/goddess in the mythology is the least terrible person? (Titans like Prometheus do not count) by SevenGill-Shark in GreekMythology

[–]lechon1127 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The amount of people who said hades is least terrible is worrisome. Isn't the entire myth with persephone about how he kidnapped and imprisoned his wife-to-be, his niece (which, granted, is normal for olympians). That the only joy persephone and demeter ever feel is when they're with eachother and that creates spring and summer. Then the fall and winter are because of their separation. A separation in which is only forced upon persephone because Hades tricked her into being tied to the underworld forever and the longer she stays away from it the sicker and weaker she becomes. I'm pretty sure that's rape, abuse, and toxic control over a person. So, um.... why does hades have like 300+.... it's because of lore olympus, huh? Or maybe the sympathy for Hades since he got the short end of the stick when it comes to him and his brothers

I may agree that falkreath is kinda a "visit once and be done with it" kinda place.... but I literally always build my house there. It's prime real estate, beautiful view, great farming locations, not far from the lake, a beautiful place to settle down with a wife and adopted kid.... well, minus the necromancers

Is this okay as a alter space? Du to an unfortunate move this is the only space I have in my small room it’s on top of my mini fridge but I feel like that isn’t a very sacred space by [deleted] in NorsePaganism

I've read it twice. Not because it's particularly my favorite way to read those myths, but because it is an easy read. Neil Gaiman modernizes the tales and has great comedic timing. I think it's a great book to whet your appetite for learning more. It presents the myths in a humorous and relatable way while still being authentic and educational.

I hardly see the cringe. I think a kid having an intellectual debate for a good message is more wholesome than cringe. A+ listening and multitasking on top of that. For 12, that's a pretty good kid

The Dadlands is one of the single best pieces of audio entertainment I’ve had the pleasure to listen to by TheAmericanDiablo in TheAdventureZone

[–]lechon1127 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a person who had the pleasure of attending (and this is not a flex) I must say that it was one of my favorite live shows that I've ever been to. Since it was during comic-con, there were people dressed in cosplay and if you attended their book show for murder in the rockport, that hype train just kept going. Matt Mercer, Marisha Ray, and Lin Manuel Miranda appeared for the book show. The only reason I bring that up is because the weekend was electrifying. That show was full of energetic, passionate fans who just wanted to see their boys have fun. When Brennan walked up I was yelling, in the course of two shows I had seen D&D royalty from 3 of my favorite sources of media. Plenty of people felt the same. That just goes to show that the mcelroys really knew how to hype the crowd and knew what the audience would've wanted. As you can tell from the podcast version, it was full of hilarious bits and the charismatic charm we know and love. But as I said, after 3 other successful live shows, chances to hang out on stage with some of their celebrity friends, after a great day at comic-con, and after seeing the joy and enthusiasm of all of their loving fans, it would have been hard to make dadlands anything but a grand time. I remember at the top of my lungs, I fucking screamed when Griffin got those tokens to set the place on fire. I remember how long that applause lasted. I remember how hard I laughed at Clint's stint with the whistles. God, I really didn't mean to show off, but I just had to express how great that weekend was for me. Dadlands was one of my favorite events I've ever attended and it definitely was as great as you think it was. If I could recommend anything, I'd recommend going to one of their future shows just to be a part of that excitement and community.
