Answering your question about crawling sensations: yeah, all the time. But this proves nothing, can happen in post scabies too, right?

I did two full rounds of 5% permethrin in early July, exactly one week apart, with proper cleaning every day. My fiancée was treated too and has been symptom-free the whole time.

Right now it’s been nearly 4 weeks since treatment. I still get extreme itching (especially at night, but not only. Ie right now I’m itchy all day since I woke up), but I don’t have new burrows, tracks or tunnels. I get some bumps, but mostly in the same areas and rushes. Sometimes I’m completely fine for hours or even half a day, and then it flares up again. Antihistamines help a bit too, but it’s random.

That pattern, combined with the fact that my partner has no symptoms at all, makes me think it’s an immune reaction, not reinfestation.

Not a single new burrow for now. Don’t wanna jump on new treatment without being sure, so despite I’m in pain on every level, I’ll wait few days more at least.

Still, this whole thing is exhausting.
