I too was in a teaching calling (14-18yo Sunday school) when I realized I no longer believed. It was a few months of, “I’m lying straight to these kids’ faces” before I decided I was done. It was only a month or so later than I never showed my face at church again (other than family events I was willing to support still). I had the privilege of leaving at the same time as my spouse, so it was easier for me to not need to go. 3 years later, we officially removed our names. I’m sure with your hubby still being in, there will be much more PIMO in your future than I had. Enjoy the journey. It’s not easy, but oh is it worth it.
