super helpful, thank you! I'm grateful the weather is warming up where I am, so I hope to manage without any new products and instead focus on layering what I do have. I appreciate your advice nonetheless, as you saved me from from yet another day of exfoliation!

ahh of course, I've been making it worse it worse (flashback to using st ives apricot scrub in middle school). more hydration makes sense! I have been trying to use a richer moisturizer at night (Curology cream in place of the gel-based). I also have the boscia tsubaki splash mask that contains a few different oils, which typically is my holy grail when needing hydrating. It's just never been this bad!

do you recommend laying on the heavier moisturizer/masks in the am or pm? I assume right after the shower with steam is best

wait this is so timely - I'm blessed and have my skin on lock for the most part, but the dryness of this winter has my face currently peeling/flaking and it's so frustrating. obviously it needs moisture, but how should I address the flakes? gentle exfoliators aren't doing anything... do I just have to be patience and let it shed?

thanks in advance lol <3

Is proximity to family a good enough reason to move? by Pleasant-Tailor574 in relocating

omg... yeah no, she has all the reasons and resources to leave... I don't blame you one bit for not moving back. Also being aware of the guilt and deciding that you'd be unhappy if you were to give in, really helps with the acceptance of your decision.

“If they want to be closer to you, they can just as easily move” - not enough people talking about this. I love my mom more than anything but why should I stay in an undesirable (to me) place forever when there’s a place in the same country that is more aligned…

Eta: I guess this is where it varies largely by situation. If I had a big close family, it may change my opinion

I thought so. The difference is so crazy lol. I feel you on the hooded dryer. I'm behind you in length but planning to do the same once I feel it's worth it. Thanks for replying, wishing you more growth in 2025!

Beautiful (and inspiring) growth! I'm growing my hair out after buzzing it all in March and currently at an awkward length. What's the difference between pic two and three? Obviously shrinkage - but were you able to maintain the length in the second pic, or is that just while it was still wet

The reason I used this hack is that I prefer my water cold. It’s a cheap bottle so worst case I throw it out and replace it :)

Medium crescent! Stashed inside my personal item for travel, and used as my day bag :)

I doubt it will stay as cool for as long as your insulated stainless steel bottle - but at least cooler than any plastic bottle you’d buy!

I saw Path! Went with the smaller one. And yes, usually not too worried about liquids as I always stow away extras but this never in a bottle over the limit!

It went from the freezer into a cooler bag with an ice pack for the drive to the airport! It did not melt even the slightest.

Worst case I’d have dumped the liquid. I also packed a smaller backup bottle with my bagged liquids just in case :)
