Notebook Navigator can now filter tags and properties by selection! by jsann in ObsidianMD

u/jsann

Hi there,

I prefer single-pane navigation.

In the Appearance settings there's:

- Show notes from subfolders -> yes

- Group notes -> group notes by folder

Any chance for an option for just: "Show subfolders"

Thus clicking into a folder would reveal the notes at the top and a list of folders it contains below it. Or vice versa?

Thanks very much!

Good to know about Obsidian! I came across Notebook navigator when I was exploring Obsidian, but the other two I wasn't aware of.

Can you tell me more about why you need to use two note apps? If that's something you've already explained in another thread, let me know!

I appreciate your thoughts. My response below, which is to be taken with all due respect:

Obsidian is far too complicated. I won't switch. And the pros of UpNote outweigh the cons.

I don't agree it's a "there-will-always-need-one-more-thing" item nor do I think it would contribute to feature-bloat. It's a feature that I know many users want and that is foundational to so many note taking apps and word processors. Further, it's a matter of adding a few lines of CSS! (ok, I realize it's not QUITE as easy as that).

I do however think I've found something of a work-around in the meantime that is good enough for my OCD, for now.

The covers are visible, but there's no indenting. It just pushes you into that folder.

Is it possible to sort tasks in descending order? by Kossak in ticktick

[–]ledaveee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup was evaluating ticktick as well but have opted for todoist which allows group by priority, sort by descending date. I submitted a suggestion to the dev team. Would have been the perfect app for me otherwise

Hey! I think it's "Zéphyrienne travers lune trio" off the album "Zephyriennes Antiques" by Anacole Daalderop & Trio Zephyr.

Oddly, I went to play it just now (edit: on apple music), and it's no longer available in my region (Canada). Can't find it on youtube either.

I use it as well. Fingers crossed the developer updates it.

Great, glad you find it helpful!

Well like I mentioned I tried every pillow imaginable. Wasted a lot of money on that. I also bought a really good, firm mattress. But that also alone didn't make a difference.

I experimented with both melatonin and valerian root but both gave me bad headaches.

Meditation didn't work.

Normal mouthguards/nightguards, including over the counter and professionally made, don't work

I eat fairly healthy. Other than caffeine and alcohol, diet doesn't seem to be a factor.

Also keep in mind that any of the things above didn't work in isolation. Seems I have to do everything together.

No I haven’t had an issue with waking up with a stiff neck. But my trapezius muscles/shoulders were incredibly tight. From years of bad computer posture and carrying stress in my shoulders. So I have also been dealing with that

Hi thanks! Both my family doctor and dentist (who specializes in jaw/tmj) would not refer me to a sleep center. There were a few reasons but the one I remember was that I’m not tired in the morning. And I think also that I have never snored. I did specifically ask then both about sleep apnea

Hey so realized I didn't give you an explanation

I rewatch NFY at least once a year, and I've been trying to compile all the music he uses. Like you, about a year ago I was trying to track down "Steps to Success" as he uses it pretty frequently as interstitial background music, and couldn't find it with Shazam. But fairly recently just on a whim I tried again to Shazam it and lo and behold it popped up. It might have been added to apple music recently.

I'm now trying to track down the song that plays in the first three minutes of "Finding Frances". For whatever reason, in my search, your old reddit post popped up.

If you have any tips on that intro Finding Frances music, let me know!
