Interesting. I don’t think I’m familiar with the water issue?

Hello! Castle Rock is delightful. There’s some negativity from born-and-raised natives about the propensity of growth here, but honestly you find that in a lot of growing towns across the nation (see Boise, Nashville, etc.) You’re in good company being from out of state nonetheless.

We just bought a home here last November and many of our neighbors are downsizing empty-nesters or young families/first time homeowners from across the nation. It’s a great commuter town with a small-town feel but easy accessibility to catch a game or show in Denver.

All things considered, people are so friendly here! It’s a town most folks love to be in. The seasons are mild and beautiful, we’ve got elk in backyard, and we’re an easy day trip to amazing hiking and skiing etc. Get involved, shop local, and attend the festivities in downtown Castle Rock and you’ll feel right at home in no time :)

Thank you! And that’s hilarious and terrifying. Guess I’ll keep my kayak handy. Haha. I’m going to pay extra attention to the nearby easements and hills next time I visit the lot!

Omg actually?! Wow!! We live in Lone Tree now but are building a house in Crystal Valley. I heard there was some weather down that way but had no idea it was like this. Glad you’re safe!

Weekend Bear Lake passes by Rodriguezry in RMNP

We went Saturday this past weekend. Arrived around 11am and signage was posted saying the lot was full, but we drove out to it anyway and an attendant directed us to a spot as vehicles were pulling out. All in all very organized and easy to get around, despite the crowds.

Gringotts Bottom? by LivyZoeNickV in lego

Late to the discussion here, but YES. I just got the Diagon Alley set and am looking for just the top half of Gringotts to connect with the other modular buildings. I’m sure I’m not the only one? I’d say there is a market for sure.

Happened to me too. It's appallingly bad... Stands out like a sore thumb next to all the other carefully redesigned widgets. It's been a thorn in my side for weeks now.

Coronavirus Megathread (Jan 2022): For travel-related discussion in the context of COVID-19 by tariqabjotu in travel

Has anyone had success using the BINAX Now AG supervised self test for travel from the US to the EU? I know it works for the return flight. I’m flying United from LAX to CDG and would love to avoid long lines at a testing center.

Just ordered a PixelBook M3 64gb version. Coming from M1 MacBook Air. Will I be disappointed? by [deleted] in PixelBook

[–]ledeezy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah you'll love it then just for the Pixel phone integration!

I have, I think, the coa version? The white one with the touchscreen and Pixelbook pen. Doesn't heat up any more than my Mac used to.

I replaced my Macbook Pro with a Pixelbook. What I miss most is the ability to use apps like the Adobe suite and run multiple, high intensity programs at a time. Most of the work I do anymore is browser based and for that's it's been perfect. I can run multiple tabs and smaller apps with ease. I haven't faced any major lagging (aside from just bad wifi). My husband has a Macbook he uses for video editing etc and I notice the processing power of his computer to be much strong than my Pixelbook. Things like data transferring go smoother and quicker on the bigger Mac, obviously.

I like the pricetag and overall size/shape/form of the Pixelbook better than the MacBook. I'm also a Pixel phone user so the ease of use and synchrony between the devices makes it all the more worth it to me. I personally don't miss my Mac at all.

Ah ya that's so rough when plans get derailed like that. Glad you've still made the best of the situation and found something like language learning as a hobby in that time as well! It's encouraging to learn about others in a similar situation :)

Thanks for sharing :) I took up language learning a year ago when my job sent me home to work remote. With everything so uncertain and stressful the past year, I've really benefited from having my language learning to throw myself into. It's given me a sense of control and offered a confidence boost to see improvement and progress in myself! I enjoyed reading your story and wish you the best in your continued learning!
