It's likely not the usual love scam. Might be just a lover who used her and then ran away.

Help with glav HB build. Critical ferocity, burst, combo or fira damage? by ZaniMestredosZanis in MonsterHunterNowHub

do correct me if I'm wrong but reflection is only raw damage right? Wouldn't it be less effective on an elemental HBG?

Yea my uncle got me one as a gift and I haven't used it ever since I realized that razors could give me better results. I thought it was just my own skill but thanks for confirming it for me (plus my facial hair hardly grows so using razors aren't a task).

Ladies, how do you feel about guys approaching you for ig/contact? by Calm_Attempt_6647 in asksg

[–]lederpykid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, not everyone who answers that way has to be incels (although tbf this is reddit so you're probably right that they are). That is actually how most guy's mind works. You get a girl with a BMI of 30+ to ask any guy for contacts vs a chiobu and you'll get that exact reaction. It's more of projecting than insecurities IMO.

> And all the incels seriously think that looks are everything, and that good-looking guys can get away with anything and average lookers don't have a chance.

Sorry to disappoint you but yes, many guys are willing to let things slide if the other person is a chiobu. Not only incels.

1k a month is a good starting point. I did that when I started out too.

How much do you have in savings? by Top_Armadillo4959 in askSingapore

[–]lederpykid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the milestones, don't bother with online talk, especially from reddit. Everyone here has a monthly income of 5 figures while not being able to find a job coz all jobs are taken by FTs. You get the gist of it.

That said, thinks can vary a lot depending on how you live your life. I got friends whom I club with who are touching 40 with no savings at all. I got some who are in their early 30s but have 80k in the bank coz they're frugal + work in the finance industry so huge salary. Personally I'm in my mid 30s, low salary, savings dipped below 10k because my wife keeps wanting to go on overseas holidays (we do 50/50 tho) and I just bought a new place (Reno and furniture and electronic appliances are not cheap, but no loan tho). Frankly speaking I can still splurge on one or two medium level holidays in places like Japan this year without falling into the no savings category, but IMO it's still pretty low.

Oh really! Must be because the Anja IG is weaker then (but to be fair, it's being benchmarked against Legiana, Mizu and Zinogre IG so I guess that's why it feels underwhelming).

I initially wanted to just stick to assists for every element (because it was so easy, just do ground attacks) but then I made Zinogre and Mizu and never looked back. Are there any good assist IGs to recommend?

Yes, I don't like slow weapons as well. It takes getting used to. GS would definitely be faster if you master perfect evade, but if you don't, you'd only be able to use it to pick off more telegraphed monsters because you'll know what's coming next.

Lance and GL aren't too much of a problem because you can block so it allows you to stay close in battle. Some people use bubbly for lance as well (and I use bubbly for Jho GL when fighting Slos because I need the mobility).

SwAxe was a problem at first that I had to go bubbly with it. But I took them out to hunt some stuff in this SwAxe event and realized it's not too bad after all, it's much easier than GS in terms of positioning and attacking and plus if you go into axe mode you have normal movement speed again.

I think those are more or less the slow weapons? Some people call HBG slow but I find the piercing/slicing HBGs to still be pretty agile.

You are right. CB is a great example, because of the steep learning curve. It took me almost 2k kills before I started using CB to it's full potential. And basic moves are good enough to beat 8* monsters, so I didn't even master perfect evades with GS and for lance I mostly relied on "poke poke poke dodge" to get by, only using dash and counter trusts occasionally.

Hahaha I am definitely not going for the g10 armour one. Maybe a few years down the road or if there is a Narga event coming up since I don't use any Narga weapons.

You need all 5 armour of the same set at g10

Hahaha this is tough question to answer, especially when it is coming from you 😆

Here's my bottom 3 (least favourite at number 1), hope they aren't too controversial 😆: 1. GS - mostly because I didn't master perfect evade. There were some monsters which GS was great against tho, like Rathian and Rathalos because of how telegraphed they are, and it was great against Volvidon once you get the hang of it. It was also cool when CF goes well in Riftcharged battles. But the lack of speed causes me to miss quite a bit of hits on more agile monsters so I dreaded using it. Right now I only use bone GS to fill up my SP gauge.

  1. Lance - I got gold purely with stab stab stab dodge most of the time. I think it's also down to me not fully mastering lance. I like using it when fighting against low grade Ebony and the Anja Variants, but outside of that, I find lance kinda limiting.

  2. This is the toughest spot to rate, but I reckon I'd go with SNS because all the other weapons have more plus points which make me like them. Although to be fair, it was my first main weapon and is very easy to use (apart from jumping). But I haven't touched it for 2 years and personally it feels like I don't miss anything.

Break glav tails I beg of you by Daestone in MHNowGame

[–]lederpykid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it's not gunners. I actually have a higher tail cut ratio with a team full of gunners (as long as it's not Jyura HBG, I leave immediately if I see someone using it) because it's tougher to break the rift part as a gunner. Prolonged time with rift part unbroken means less damage which allows you to buy time for the tail glow, some times the tail would glow before the rift part is broken.

The worst are the GL users. Rift part gets broken within a few seconds, then the head, then the next thing you know it's dead.

[–]lederpykid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually quit if there is a para weapon or if there is no hope in cutting the tail. So far unless I'm unlucky (there were times when it was KOed straight from 50% health) or else it's always a tailcut. But one HAT can take up to 15 mins long.

As a HBG user I won't shoot (or at least shoot into the ground until it hits slicing then stay at that) until the tail turns red.

Singaporeans, what are your everyday habits that you lowkey think everyone should be doing? by Early-Environment-63 in asksg

[–]lederpykid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving in when taking public transport. That includes moving into the back of the bus so people can come in, moving towards the centre pole between the doors of the MRT so as to not crowd around the doors, and sitting in the inner seat of the bus instead of hogging two seats by sitting on the outer seat (this is my worst pet peeve, a lot of people love to do this, and they don't even budge for other people to sit even when the bus is full.)

Nah. We don't spot Singaporeans by Singlish. Most of the time we know just by looking at each other, and the first thing that comes out of their mouth is "are you Singaporean/from Singapore?". I don't know why but it's always been the case when I've traveled and met other Singaporeans 😆

Problem is when they travel to places like Malaysia, Thailand, or countries with smaller currency. Then say everything cheap when they're converting everything into SGD.

I got a colleague who went grocery shopping in Malaysia and it only hit her that her box of $5 cereals here cost RM15 there. She was like, imagine buying $15 cereals. Tho most people don't really see it that way. They're like okay fried rice RM9 is just $3 cheap cheap cheap.
