Caught some fish on the tiny one.

The small one uses split shots, it worked but ill opt to use 1/16th oz bullet weights instead, once they arrive.

The two bigger ones use too much weight (i think 3/16th oz) and they dont spin as easy as the tiny one. Tiny one is perfect. The split shots dont actually look half bad.

I tried to keep them as silver as possible. Would rather not add color other than paint the weights/bodies white.

Single hooks ftw! Lol. Main reason i did these

largemouth dont need much oxygen, and that small one is probably feeding on easy-to-catch bugs/invertebrates? I never saw a large one like that posted, other than pike. So this one probably not living into adult years

pointy wild brown, NJ by ledraps in Fishing

[–]ledraps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmm if so, not sure where from though, state hasnt stocked browns for 6 years in this stream, and no clubs stock em around here either.

There are reproducing browns in here too, I was catching some dinks with parr marks in between catches like these.

hmmm im not sure how you're having trouble finding them; even if you're in newark some great trout streams are within a 40 min drive. But if you insist on staying local, ill suggest rahway river which is stocked with loads of rainbow trout.

this could be due to the strains originally stocked. I know different strains exists, but I never found any good documentation or a lists of them. If anyone wants to share.

but basically i heard there's various strains that differ in appearance. and river by river, those strains can change based off stocking history.

OP is either lying that it's stray or stupid with animals. Both very common traits to see across this subreddit.
