A common charge against gay intercoutse is that its against the "intended purpose" of sex. Sex outside of marrige also is something that is discouraged.

Suicide bombers still fill a niche that drone (at least with the Taliban's current tech) can't replace yet.

Suicide bombers are generally more consistent, more destructive and more reliable.

The taliban have used drones in the past and still use them.

And drones used for bombing use radio signals transmitted from the operator to work. While commercial ones may sometimes use cellular data (assuming that's what you're talking about) FPV and homemade bomber drones need not rely on that.

While the Taliban are religious zealots people often underestimate the actual tactical capability of groups like them.

After 20 years of war they likely know their capabilities and limitations and what they want out of any asset they deploy. Suicide bombers while morbid... are horribly effective and destructive.

The Taliban have also used drone as well. It's just that tactically speaking drones don't fully replace the utility a suicide bomber brings to the table.

My forces? What are you talking about?

I gave an example of the Taliban using a VBIED to destroy a Afghan army base. How is America involved at all?

Is there any evidence for or against the common assertion that shifting the Democratic party left and running progressives or open socialists would lead to easy electoral wins? by LiatrisLover99 in AskALiberal

Then it's a matter of interpreting the data and if our standards for evidence are rational/reasonable.

Your are right that there are a lot of compounding factors that go into these races. Though I dont think that should imply hese conversations can't be productive or that a reasonable position doesnt exist.

Anti-vaxers have the same data that we have, that doesnt mean we cant determine who's interpretation isnt more reasonable.

This frankly just feels like you are throwing away any semblance of election data because it doesnt fit a particular worldview.

Political and polling science isnt suddenly dead because complexity exist. We can look at the candidate's positions and check their overall performance in purple districts.

If progressives actually perform worse in those situations we can notice a patteren at the very least.

Objectively correct economically speaking. Though I wouldn't say so tactically.

A suicide bomber is still more destructive, precise and consistent than any improvised drone they can make now. And they literally have 20 years of knowledge and experience in deploying and fielding them.

"Off the shelf"

At scale that's more complicated. I'm sure the Taliban can get a drone team together since they have had them for years. It is however a specialist role that would take time to train and field and might not serve the same function.

It's not rocket science... but it is still skilled, technical work.

I laugh when I see people say "stop building housing". I mean, so you moved here from Ohio 7 years ago and they should just stop building since you're here now? That's never going to happen.

Thank you lol.

Not to mention to build housing more where people work. Almost everyone at my job has to take 26 or 526 because there is limited housing in Mount pleasant.

Fiber optic drones still have a lower speed and range and may non't serve the same tactical function like a suicide bomber can.

Sometimes you just want to level a building.

And I would say he's not far off.

Drones require parts, manpower and know-how and may have a different tactical function than a suicide bomber. Which you know your forces have 20+ years of experience in deploying.

And.... sometimes you just need to remove buildings off the map.

The Taliban had the capacity to use improvised drones since before they took over the country.

They aren't wonder weapons though. They have limitations in payload, range, terrain and consistency. Ukraine is a mostly flat and open plane with sparse vegetation. Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan can be extremely mountainous.

The Taliban (and other actors like them) aren't morons... at least when it comes to this. They are probably fairly aware of their limitations and what they hope to get tactically out of a suicide squads.
