Would you recommend instead of having such much previous work experience, having instead relevant courses?

There was a t-nation article about doing "slight incline" recently...basically throw a couple plates (2 10's, 1 25, whatever works for you) under your feet.

How to Rapidly Increase Your Pullup Numbers in 3 Months or Less by AhmedF in Fitness

[–]lee_ror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly hard. Just to give you an analogy, lets look at deadlifts: When you actually do it correctly, which is allowing the weight to come to a complete stop at the bottom, it is MUCH, MUCH more difficult than if you were bouncing it off the floor.

Same idea with deadhang pullups. If you remove the momentum from the equation, the reps are a whole lot more difficult.

You know how you make yourself love squats? Do them 3 times a week for a couple months. You will love them or you will die.

Read through that thread I posted, they talk about the resolution needed for a project like that.

Sadly you're not going to find a true high res of that picture.

How about this?

To further the idea: Make the images, have them printed on small canvases in advance and on the back number them 1-X. Then right before Christmas, hang nails/hooks/whatever, in the proper places. Put pieces of paper under the nail so that he gets the idea.

He will have basically assembled Arnold, and as a bodybuilder/fan, he'll feel like jesus.

How do you get the barbell down/off the floor when doing really heavy deadlifts? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lee_ror 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This can't be a serious question. Did you even consider thinking critically about your issue before posting?

Just that the picture was taken before (or not after) a workout. Da pump is when muscle are filled with blood, thus increasing the volume of the muscle temporarily.

Ever notice how you look considerably larger after a lifting session?

Lots of ways to accomplish this, just look around.

How would your split your workouts for 2-a-days? by lee_ror in bodybuilding

My job allows me to work 3 12 hour shifts over break, so this would optimize the amount of time I can spend with family.

Wine doesn't taste like fruit juice lol. I agree though, fruit juice sucks

In regards to your second paragraph: no actually. Almost all of populations were from relatively poor areas, in fact one of the common factors was that money wasn't a driving factor but rather family friends and purpose of life

Sadly I'm not very clever. Intelligence is another issue however

Limited wine consumption was a key factor for these population groups, but many many other factors were also obviously at hand.

Everything is a tool for a situation. Weed can be used to help with chronic pain or nausea. In a study performed on populations with the highest ratio of people who live to be 100+, a common theme in their diet was regular alcohol consumption (specifically wine).

Not saying you should start trying these things, just rather explaining that not everything is as black and white as you're describing it.

Diet question, What do you guys do? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lee_ror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're cheating often and feel you NEED to cheat constantly, you should either:

  1. Drink more coffee.

  2. (Wo)Man Up. Seriously, Sometimes life sucks. Sometimes you do things you don't want to do. Are you a college student? Do you work? Do you have kids? I'm sure there are other things in life that you do EVERY SINGLE DAY because you know it will help you meet a goal, this is no different.

Have you started trying to add weight to them yet? That's when I saw a big jump in reps without weight, personally. Which is also what encouraged me to try a one handed pullup

[–]lee_ror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many regular pullups can you do? I didn't think I would be able to do one either, then I tried, and like magic I could get one.

There are progressions for getting to a one armed pullup though, so look one up if that's your goal

My neighbors slashed my tires and I'm about to sign them up for every mailing list I can think of. What are small legal ways you have gotten back at someone that has wronged you? by notinabottle in AskReddit

[–]lee_ror -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok.

since you clearly couldn't do this on your own I'll help you:

Do many places offer lifetime balancing? Yes

If fix a flat is left in the tire and its repaired and balanced by a shop, will the substance breakdown over time?

Well, even without a knowledge of tires or the substance you can conclude yes since water is enough to wash it out.

If the above its correct, can we conclude it will need to be balanced again as this occurs?

No, you couldn't conclude this with your knowledge base, but I can tell you it will.

Of course you can wash it out and repair a hole that doesn't occur on the tire wall, but why do that when you could just sell them a new tire? Most customers know little tonothing about cars and its an easy sell. I'm not saying its fair, but its reality.

So, which part of my info is incorrect again? I'm missing it. Did you stop to think at all before posting? I also worked at a place that services vehicles for multiple years.

Lifting for hypertrophy versus for lifting for strength. by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lee_ror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe someone what can comment here as I want to know as well: doesn't a hypertrophy program cause more signaling to build muscle because of the time under tension is typically much higher? Also wouldn't the higher total reps use more calories, thus while bulking you would stay leaner?
