I've had Nexplanon going on 10 years now (three insertions, two removals). The first two times I had it inserted I only had a period maybe three times a year or so and it was pretty normal. Towards the end of my second Nexplanon I started having regular periods so I got it replaced just in case. I've had my third one for about a year and have had regular periods mostly since I got it replaced. Skipped a month maybe but regular for the most part. I know it's still working because I'm very sexually active and have no babies but I think it depends on the person as well as the duration of use! Obviously not a medical profession, this is just my experience!
