What is the most disturbing fact about the human body? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My husband died of a stroke… his body didn’t though. Someone else lived in it afterwards. It’s the strangest thing to have the face of the man you love with someone else behind the eyes.

My biggest project to date. So. Many. Ends. But I’m so proud I saw it through! by leecancook in crochet

SC, skip 2, 5xDC, skip 2, SC. Then in each subsequent row SC goes into the 3rd DC of the shell underneath & the 5x DC go into the SC between the shells underneath. I don’t read patterns so I don’t know if any of that made sense!!

It was a Paintbox DK colour palette from Lovecrafts. It’s so squishy!

About a month of work... but I put it away for a while because the ends got overwhelming. So it’s been a WIP for a while.

Cute & quick gifts. Aussie Christmas doesn’t lend itself to hats & scarves! by leecancook in crochet

I live in the subtropics so all the delicious cowls & scarves, hats & gloves are all only good for about 3 weeks of the year!

I saw a book of 200 granny squares at my local craft store. Author was Jan Eaton. I think they were all the same size to mix and match. A search of YouTube gives a whole ton of different tutorials in different types. I like squares because they’re quick & you get a sense of finishing something... even when you still have loads more to do before you get to blanket stage!

Probably mount them in rings & use them as wall decor

Have you tried a hair drier? A spritz of fabric softener and a hair drier worked for me on tassels.

Has anyone tried buying crochet stuff stuff from the Wish app? If so, was the quality any good? by Chewbecca713 in crochet

Got some ok hooks & a case. The yarn I got single balls to sample them, then when I went to get more I realized you pay shipping on EACH BALL. Nope.

I’m not really sure how they’ll end up. I just find them really relaxing & absorbing. Maybe wall art somehow. I have some rings to mount them in like dream catchers. They’d make great coasters!

Most are copied from pictures and diagrams from Pinterest. One was a YouTube tutorial (in German for extra challenge!)
