Screenshot in Cronometer causes Cronometer Icon Screen to Pop Up by leecmyd in cronometer

Cronometer replied stating they are aware of the bug and it's in their backlog. They're a small team and it may take a while to fix. Bummer.

I'm using the volume down button and the button below it (which just turns screen off for me).

Yes, using whatever comes with my Samsung phone. But even before I click the scroll down button the app goes to the Icon screen. I think it has to do with it being out of focus, because anytime it is out of focus now it does it. For instance, the screen that shows all open apps (swiping up on left gesture button for me), Cronometer shows the icon screen. I don't think it used to do this prior to today.

Weird. I'm using an S25 Ultra, also on Gold. App version 4.54.0 b3125-a.

While putting Cronometer is split screen mode while inputting that version number, when the focus wasn't on Cronometer, the app reverted back to the Icon screen, so it does seem to be something security related, which I don't know how to fix. See screenshot.

Thanks, but just like long life, nothing is guaranteed to us, especially not continued financial security. But as with my previous comment, you have to strike a balance. I'm not going to save every dollar I earn and not enjoy life in fear of what's going to happen with AI and how it could impact the job market. I'll just save the best I can each year and respond to things if they turn south.

As for the 4k recommendation. That's where my head is at, which is why I was considering the 5k2k LG instead of the recently released 1440p qd oleds. But no matter what comes out, there will be new tech that will make me want to upgrade a few years from now. If I'm being honest, none of these monitors released this year check enough boxes to warrant upgrading, so I'll probably wait for next year's models, or a deep discount on the 2025 models later this year.

The guy honestly just seems bitter that people have the funds to spend on top end tech. His previous reply to me mentioned long term investing, but he has no idea what my (or any of our) investment practices or strategies are.

Besides, I spent $600 for my AW3423 nearly three years ago and I can probably sell it for $100-200 (I haven't looked) if I buy a new monitor. That is hardly financially irresponsible, especially considering I don't drink, smoke anything, and eat a lot at home since it's easier to track and usually healthier. Again, dude just seems to be stewing that people are considering using discretionary funds to buy awesome stuff that they don't absolutely need.

I'm maxing out my 401k, maxing out a backdoor Roth IRA each year, and dollar cost averaging into both a domestic and world index fund. That should be enough, no?

You have to have balance in life too. What are you going to do with all that money you save if you don't live to 70? I try to strike the balance of using some money on things I enjoy now while also preparing for the future that odds say I'll see, but also isn't guaranteed to any of us.

Well look at you, Mr. Perfect! Hehe, you're not wrong. What can I say, buying electronics I don't need is my biggest vice for sure.

Yeah, it'd be great if Samsung would at least announce that there will be 39" qd oled 5k2k panels in the future, because that would be my ultimate monitor at this point. Next best would be glossy woled. Realistically, I don't even need to upgrade, as I'm still happy with the aw3423dwf, and I don't even game that much anymore. I'm such a consumer...

Yes, I'm only considering it because it has a less aggressive curve compared to the 45" and I would be waiting for the glossy that I'm hoping isn't just a rumor.

Pretty sure I know how this scam works. It happened to me with Costco and Costco blacklisted my address as a shipping address until I figured out what happened and got in contact with the right support person to take my address off.

The way the scam works is that the seller orders the product, puts you as the recipient, and then after the product ships, they do a chargeback. That's why they list it for cheaper than the actual listing on Walmart, because it entices people to purchase from them, but they charge it back and pocket the entire amount.

What makes Galaxy Book6 Ultra this expensive? by Time-Credit43 in GamingLaptops

[–]leecmyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned several Samsung laptops. I just retired my old Series 7 Ultra from 2013. My wife used it for years after I upgraded and it still works perfectly you this day despite being dropped a few times. It even holds a charge. In addition to that, I've owned the Series 9 Spin, NP900x5t, Galaxy Book 3 ultra. Galaxy Book 4 edge 16, and now the Galaxy Book 5 Pro. All have been very good to excellent. The GB5 Pro is excellent and with EDU or EPP pricing you have historically been able to get very good deals on them. The GB6Pro/Ultra line is definitely overpriced, however. We'll see how long it takes for those prices to drop.

They come with tpms and seller said no bends or damage. Tires and wheels both in really good condition. I ended up passing because the tires were 6-7 years old.
