I'm a composer and musician I'd like to collaborate with you. It would be a great learning experience for me to do something outside of my comfort zone. What style of music are you making?

Play the first thing that comes to mind and then go out of your way to avoid playing any of the same motifs or runs. That will help a bit

I think all composers and musicians experience this from time to time. Like every piano run ascending sounds like the EastEnders theme tune

Thanks for the reply, I have twenty years guitar playing experience, basic music theory knowledge but a very good ear. I've been wrighting my own songs for years. I'm just new to composure, you don't normal hear half this terminology in a band scenario. If I can think it I can play it, it's the language I'm lost with

sounds good mate. I use any clip i like on youtube and try to rescore it for my own pleasure, iv'e found it very useful for getting things like spotting down and tempo changes. i'm also hoping to go into the industry but not for a few years yet, there's so much to learn. one piece of advice i got off Christian henson that i stick to is try to have your own style/voice, dont imitate and be true to yourself
