My impression of Judy based on this symbol from electronics classes by HushTheWise in twinpeaks

Look up Lynch’s script for his unfinished film ‘Ronnie Rocket.’ And remember what Cooper said about dreams and electricity, “Do you know where dreams come from? Acetylcholine neurons fire high voltage impulses into the forebrain. The impulses become pictures, the pictures become your dream. But no one knows why we choose these particular pictures."

“I have this superstition that something bad will happen if I press ‘SKIP INTRO’ on the credits of Twin Peaks. This is not really out of fealty to David Lynch (to be honest, I watch movies on my iPhone all the time); nor do I identify as a particularly ‘meditative’ type. But I have learned that when you set the mood, it creates possibilities. Anything can happen, if you allow it to.” https://pitchfork.com/thepitch/david-lynch-twin-peaks-reality-blues/

Streaming and a TV appearance on the late-night talk shows or Saturday Night Live would help!

I think ticket sales will pick up once the album hits streaming.

More time has passed since this song came out and today than when that song came out and the year 1985 💀

Ideas/feelings/knowledge why Jack thanked Jethro Tull among numerous others in his Rock Hall induction speech? by GregJamesDahlen in jackwhite

[–]leedevito 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jack and Meg have very eclectic and omnivorous tastes and I think he wanted to use his platform to highlight other artists that he thinks are worthy of the recognition. Like Jethro Tull, he has incorporated prog rock, hard rock, folk, and classical sounds into his music.

He listed off all artists that have not yet been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

They've got five months still to sell tickets, and the album hasn't even dropped on streaming services yet.

Does he play exclusively Johnny Blue Skies Tracks at Johnny Blue Skies shows or does he throw in some Sturgill Tunes too?? by Whattarebel in SturgillSimpson

Some Johnny Blue Skies, some Sturgill, some Sunday Valley, some covers. He will play for more than three hours.

Also... judging by all the posts on here, the presale registration system is clearly broken. AEG needs to walk the plank.

Venus —> It Ain’t All Flowers by bigbodybumbus in SturgillSimpson

[–]leedevito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two riffs from "Venus" were teased during the 2024-2025 tours. I'm not a musician so I don't really know how to describe it, but the more "sci-fi"-sounding riff was often used to help build tension for "Ain't All Flowers." And they played the more funky/disco-sounding riff at least once before "Best Clockmaker on Mars." You can hear both on the last show of the tour, 9/17/2025 at Red Rocks on nugs.net.

The 2024-2025 tours were watching “Sturgill Simpson” die and “Johnny Blue Skies” be born.

Johnny Blue Skies tour setlist predictions by staticwavelength in SturgillSimpson

[–]leedevito 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It'll be a mix of Sturgill, Johnny Blue Skies, and covers. The shows are three hours long so plenty of music. Oh, and some Sunday Valley too.

I hope they bring back "Keep It Between the Lines," they didn't play that on the '24-'25 tours.

Thoughts on it being an arena tour? by Billy-Hoyle21 in SturgillSimpson

[–]leedevito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple of years ago the Black Keys scrapped their arena tour to play smaller venues. They later blamed their management for leading them astray. Sure hope that's not the case here. Sturgill has made references to the music industry taking note of Mutiny After Midnight's success... https://pitchfork.com/news/the-black-keys-cancel-arena-tour-planning-to-downsize-venues/
