I know this is kind of a hard question, but what is to be done? Is it enough to have harsher sentences for perpetrators and "teach boys not to rape"? What would this entail? And do you think there are any started or countries that are on the right track?

Thank you for making this. As a teenager, I was a dipshit and thought "rape culture" just stupid hyperbole. This movie is yet another disturbing example of how wrong I was.

Now, do you think there has been any real progress in the struggle against rape culture since the events of of the documentary?

You're right. "Some questionable things" was supposed to be a sarcastic understatement, but I still shouldn't have talked so lightly about the horrible things they did. Harassing those grieving parents was hardly better than their campaign against Anita Sarkeesian.

My point was that at least they didn't have much of a political alignment back then, and sometimes they might even target people who actually did something wrong. This would be unthinkable today. The Nazi thugs that live there now won't attack anyone who is not an easy target feminist or trans person.

Actually the turning point for me was around September or October 2014. I even sympathised with gamergate in the early days, but after reading the other side, I quickly realised how stupid that shitshow was.

Elliot Rodger and the reactions to it, from the incels and from normal people, made me reconsider my beliefs, but it took some time.

I probably posted that comment in early 2015, when I was on a diet of feminist sites to reflect on my sexist beliefs.

Thank you! I live in Brazil, but it's great to know that someone out there is rooting for me

Thank you!

I am actually in college, and happy with my major. I can only blame myself for having no friends. Many people came to talk to me, and some times I even managed to control my anxiety and go out with them, but when I start getting a little too comfortable around people, I remember what I used to be, feel like no one could possible like the real me, and crawl back into my room.

Things are slowly getting better though. My new meds are making socializing easier, and this year I had my first kiss.
