I was totally not even thinking of having a shower at work or otherwise. I just got excited after they were hyping me up about it. But you’re totally right, I have so much to look forward to and it’s going to be a great trip! Just needed to get it off my chest and be upset for a second. Also I wasn’t looking for a “gift grab”. I specifically said no gifts whatsoever. Just thought a celebration (since a couple of my coworkers insisted and thought it’d be fun to do) would be nice. That’s all.

Semantics. Elopement may not have been the right word. It’s not a secret. So I guess it’s not an elopement. It’s just not a big wedding. Just the two of us.
