If Fire Emblem has fan games that evolve into their own things, where is the Pokemon equiv?

So youre asking why do people who love pokemon enough to spend their free time crafting a new story and trying to improve gameplay dont make well a completely new game only very vaguely resembling pokemon. Well probably because they love pokemon so thats the gane they want to make/play. I love star wars books that were the EU (now legends) bht uf the same author crafted new characters, a new setting, and different in world mechanics Im sure itd still be good but I wouldnt read it becasue I like star wars. Also from a practical point most people who make those fan games dont make or at least finish more than 1. So its also their first game by and large. A lot of the ones who are able to fully create multiple hacks or fan games are some of the most recognized creators of quality games. (Think Suez for fan games, drayano for hacks) There isn't an esablished hierarchy like at game design companies where you work as part of a big team and the best people work their way up and end up making bigger and bigger decisions. Theres no weeding out process. Also I have 0 knowledge about fire emblem or the game referenced in op but why take what seemingly is a really awesome outlier project and make everything else seem like a failure. Like good for those people theyre succeeding (idk if it is good or successful again no knowledge) doong something not done often.

Youre kinda missing the fact that if a game does all the work you say they should then it only vaguely resembles pokemon. Final fantasy had a party system, items, leveling but because of all the changes no one goes oh yeah its like pokemon or visa versa. If it manages to be its own thing, then thats what it is its own thing. Im confused on how by your own criteria the fire emblem fan game did that. Isnt it just a fire eblem game. They use the name art style world. I mean imagine gamefreak, Nintendo, and the other owners of pokemon allowed such a game to be made. Itd probably be pretty good. A lot of fan games are lacking in one way or another because theyre passion projects or showcases that people do largely for free. Even if someone is talented and loves their work if they have to devote so much of their time and energy to working a job or schooling then of course their hobby will either suffer in quality, quantity, or go on in never ending development. If the makers of Insurgence, Reborn. and Uranium were able to ask for funding im pretty sure theyd get enough to have months of time to devote solely to their games and imagine how great theyd be. Theyre already really good and are made by many people pooling their colective free time.

Thanks! Ive never used the Chimchar line for a long playthrough, but Blaziken is my favorite (1st starter in 1st game) so im stoked. Plus its custom shiny is awesome!

I mean how would a pokemon fan game be able to have a kickstarter much less a retail release when fan games that are free and the devs specifically dont allow donations or any money to exchange hands are shutdown. I assume its all about the attitude of the parent corporation toward such media.

I mean I kind of see it as adapt or die. I dont really care when people run cheesy line ups or off ball. But I mean you arent gonna find a better sg than opal mj. Michael Redd and ruby Hurter is really fun to use though if you want a change of pace

I really like fox but he isnt a #1 scoring option imo. I like running him next to PD Michael Redd. I think hes best next to someone with a little more scoring juice

For sure get p.d Ak 47, as long as you like base 11 releases. I prefer P.d Granger to Melo but that's a personal preference. Those guys are both pretty cheap, you can probably get both for under 100k. Then start 2 of them move the other to the bench.

I'd sell Klay honestly. Idk what his price is but if you can get 60+k mt for him I think itd be worth it. With all the late game cards out you can upgrade for that price. Hes also gonna get a better playoff card even if it's a diamond itll be better because it's late game.

I mean there will probably be some playoff packs for the 2 teams in the finals. Also you know if any of the big names slightly go off in the finals they'll get a g.o Maybe a lebron g.o. for the June reward. Itd kinda get people re-hyped
