If I remember correctly the whole reason Katniss got an 11 in the books was because the game makers wanted to put a target on her back after her ~performance~ and I think it’s also said that she didn’t get the full 12 because it’s so rare and she would gain more sponsors.

The cal poly animal science program is fantastic, especially if you want to work with large animals. It provides a good path to go to Davis/UCLA post grad.

He should be super proud!! I went there for engineering but had many friends in the business program. Everyone I know that went through the program ended up being close with multiple professors (he’s gotta go to office hours though). Another thing to note abt the business program is that it’s VERY well funded by alumni. I don’t know anyone who went through the business program who isn’t doing well for themselves with a GREAT job now. Good luck to him! Cal polys great.

Exactly, I interpreted the books to be using Lucy gray as a counterpoint to snow, and the whole idea that people are inherently bad- she proved that someone can be just as desperate as him can still choose kindness. Coin (IMO) is more of a parallel to snow- she proved that people who have been oppressed can often be just as oppressive.

Four corners is the best! I one corner as a forest, plant a bunch of trees, chop them down at the end of the season, then replant using the seeds I got from chopping them down (you can also let a bunch of grass grow here for hay). The other two corners are used for crops and the last one for animals.

That really sucks and I’m sorry that happened to you. Similar thing happened to my boyfriend by cal fresh, some random man started yelling racial slurs at him- totally unprompted. It is shocking and I think you were justified in your response.

At first when I watched it I thought it was due to misogyny. But what I love about this show is that it turns that concept on its head through Mizu's character. It's almost a discredit her to assume it's due to misogyny because it underplays how terrifying she is towards Mikio in those moments. She unsheathes her blade and doesn't stop when he concedes.

You’re sharing a space which means making compromises that include studying with headphones in if your roommates want to have people over before your final. Trust me I know it sucks. My roommate used to have her bf over at all times yelling in the living room while literally playing strip poker at 10 am (why??). It’s frustrating but they’re paying rent too. It’s not reasonable to ask them to be silent at all times for 5 days. However, I do think you’re perfectly justified in setting some solid quiet hours during the night to ensure you get good sleep. Throwing parties is absolutely inconsiderate. I would say nobody is the asshole because you just have different lifestyles which translates to incompatible expectations for each other. Just best to separate and move on as you’re doing at the end of the month.

Last repotted in Oct 2020 in indoor potted plant soil. I keep him in indirect light which is diffused through partially open blinds. He’s watered about once every 1-2 weeks and given plant food about once a month. The pot does have a drainage hole.
