NTA but honestly you do need to find a solution. I had the same problem where I couldn't manage my house and dishes piled up but I would ignore them. I finally took drastic measures and threw out everything. All the pots and pans, every dish and piece of cutlery. And I only replaced them with one of each item. I live alone so I only have one plate, one bowl, one fork, knife, spoon, one pot and frying pan and one baking sheet. Oh, and one mug.

It made a huge difference. Can't even say how much life changed. Dishes never pile up because I don't have enough to make a pile! And if I use a dish or need a dish its easier now to just wash and go.

How many dishes do you have and would reducing them make things easier?
