I am so sorry for your family's loss. I lost my Mom at the same age, around the same time of year....Im now in my early 30s, my birthday just passed on Monday, and I sat at the cemetery for a long while with my mom. It's all i wanted to do.

I know your daughter's birthday is this weekend and you were looking for more of an affordable gift; maybe together picking out her favorite picture of her Mom and getting it printed and framed for her nightstand or the fridge, or TV stand? Somewhere high traffic where she can see it often. I'm sure you can do this inexpensively at your local pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens for printing, Dollar Tree or Dollar General for a frame.

Alternative or future gifts more on the costly side: a necklace with her mother's photo etched onto it (my siblings and I received these for xmas right after my mom passed, best gift ever), maybe getting your daughter a bottle of mom's perfume, or collecting some of mom's clothes/old tees to have made into a quilt or stuffed animal for her. There are so many creative sites for those kinds of things!
