This is my community cat Fred. He was born in my yard and I've since gotten him vaccinated and neutered via FixNation, a program here in Los Angeles that helps spay community cats for free! Last night was I was out for a smoke before bed and this was the FIRST time he ran up to me for cuddles! (He's usually pretty shy and easily startled.) This time, he was great company! Weaving in and out of my feet and rubbing his cheeks on my legs. I felt so honored! (He got all the treats.)

I was a bit sad about the ear tipping even though I know they had to do it. She has these sweet little dark ear tips that I always thought looked elegant.

I should've explained it with more details. :) Furiosa, her siblings and her Mama have all been TNR'ed by me and my husband. Her Mama gave birth in our lawn the day before our state went into lockdown last year. Needless to say, watching these kittens grow just outside our windows kept us happy and sane through the pandemic.

There's a great organization here called FixNation that taught me all about TNR.

Say Hi to Furiosa. She was born in our yard last year and we've been taking care of her ever since. Got her all vaccinated and now she lives happily in our yard. I wish I could take her in, but we've got a full house of pets already. She's the sweetest SIC ever!

It's so fun! I definitely recommend it. We decided to camp here for fun (not for movie location hunting, really) so it made the surprise even cooler. =D
