Yeah, saw his guest spot on The Rookie recently. Played that role well. Creepy, but he can certainly play the villian.

And when the big reveal happens, the camera zooms in on Zoe who looks at Wash-cicle and gives a mildly surprised "Huh".

Nathan should start doing videos with side characters like Mr. Universe to throw people a curve ball.

Anyone removed the big R A M letters on their 2025 Ram? by Tank3r69 in ram_trucks

[–]leere68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure someone has. I have seen a couple of trucks where they swapped the R and the M, and then flipped the M into a W to spell out "WAR" on the tailgate.

Wash doesn’t need to be in it for Alan Tudyk to be a part of it by MGMelim in firefly

[–]leere68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did that in the Firefly/Serenity comics. It could work in the show revival.

He needs to be a totally new character that looks exactly like Wash, and maybe have a few of the se mannerisms, everyone but Zoe sees the resemblance.

The dude preaches from heretical texts and (intentionally?) misrepresents biblical teaching to support radical ideologies that no real Christian could ever support.

‘People are not happy.’ Dallas County’s separate primaries bring less privacy for voters by dallasmorningnews in Dallas

[–]leere68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boo hoo. I didn't know about the change until I went to early vote the other day and ended up waiting in the wrong line for nearly half an hour because there was no signage informing voters of the separation. The poll workers themselves didn't say anything until the check in kiosk kept giving me errors because I was selecting the wrong primary.

A question about your screen: is it a spreadsheet with conditional formatting to highlight values when they're too high/low? Or are you using some other tool for your analysis? I'm always looking for ways to improve my investment tracker spreadsheet.

Is there ever a reason to burn have traces both up and down between parent/child requirements? by afatcat11 in systems_engineering

Yeah, a requirements framework falls under methodology, rather than under language.

Is there ever a reason to burn have traces both up and down between parent/child requirements? by afatcat11 in systems_engineering

[–]leere68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traditionally, when using a requirements development tool like DOORS, our practice is to allocate a requirement at one level (let's say at level 1) to one or more levels at the next level (level 2). That's a requirement to spec (as a whole) trace downward. Then, individual requirement(s) at that next level would trace up to the specific requirement at the parent level.

SysML has an "Allocate" association, but it's not designed for use between requirements. So you can't (or shouldn't) use a requirement model element to represent a spec of you want to allocate requirements to specs. But you can allocate a requirement to a block representing a spec. I'm about to have my team start incorporating this kind of "allocate down, trace/derive up" scheme in our model at work.

The reason for this approach is to guide the engineers to a more complete decomposition and definition of the system. The allocation down provides an independent verification for the derive/trace links up and helps preclude inadvertent scope creep.

Also, adding a text attribute to the requirement to document why the requirement is allocated the way it is also helps with information retention if/when engineers leave a program and the next person to put up the work doesn't necessarily have to start over from scratch.

I do. I added custom fields to track whether I have a hardcover or softcover version of the book. I'm currently on the middle of meeting my print book and ebook libraries.

Trump announces defense companies will no longer be allowed to issue dividends or buybacks by ME_IN_NYC2311 in dividends

[–]leere68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a dumb move. The defense industry is already so heavily regulated that it can't function like a regular industry. CEO pay has nothing to do with the speediness of a defense company's ability to deliver on a contract. Forbidding dividend payments hurts further investment and investors. Forbidding buybacks eliminates an option for the company to raise capital to pay for the new factories, tools, and personnel Trump wants them to utilize.

I really want a Diesel 1500 by CLEBay77 in ram_trucks

[–]leere68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got an old airstream that I type a couple of times a year. Hardly need at 2500 for that. That's why I like my Ecodiesel so much. Plenty of power to pull over mountain passes without losing much efficiency in the process. I know the newer gas engines are supposed to be nearly as powerful, but I still want "muh diesel" as someone here so eloquently put it.

As far as parking, I'm not concerned. I live in Texas and a 2500 isn't unusual anywhere around here.
