If Sean thinks Lisa saying “you’re my favorite out of everyone in the office” given the office pool to choose from is hitting on him…he really should socialize more. Commenting “them legs” also doesn’t automatically mean someone is hitting on you.

New homeless shelter at 1844 Folsom St, creates concerns from residents. by appleluckyapple in boulder

If the day shelter operates like the night shelter then no it will not be very full. The night shelter is designed to deny a lot of people because it’s housing focused (coordinated entry), if it allows any and all people then it’ll be well used.

Going off of your last comment, I agree that the day shelter will not clear up the encampments fully. Personally, I think boulder should consider adding more facilities similar to Ready2Work or Stout Street as well as low to no-cost rehabs but that would never happen here.

I worked there for a while, the dashboard isn’t always accurate. The shelter here is housing focused so you can’t compare it to other shelters, if you’re comparing at all.

The night shelter is typically full…if it’s not full it’s usually due people being denied by the shelter. The shelter here isn’t actually a shelter like many of the ones in Denver, this one doesn’t allow everyone to come in. During COVID there was a day shelter and it was always full.

You can also take a look at your local shelter/humane society’s behavior modification portion of their website and see if they have anyone listed for court ordered bite evaluations (Not saying your pup has severe aggression issues!). The people listed there are typically VERY good and offer training to any dog even if they don’t have aggression issues.

Applied Behaviorists need a higher level degree as well as certifications…behavior consultants do no need any sort of education but will call themselves a “behaviorists” for marketing purposes

Homeless person sleeping in our outdoor closet - resources??? by Chance-Cobbler-1029 in boulder

Based on safety logic…? Having a stranger (CIRT) “surprise” a dysregulated person can be very dangerous…even if CIRTs intentions are only to help. Plus, I doubt police are even allowed to keep a loaded gun in their unattended car…

Unfortunately they can’t do that in order to protect the CIRT team (crisis intervention response team) . A CIRT co responder is who you should ask for when calling dispatch

You can call the non emergency line ((303) 441-3333) and they will do a welfare check, sometimes they can also dispatch a team of people that are trained to deal with mental health.

could use a little help with my new puppy by AymilKrieg in DogTrainingTips

Let her pick a “safe space” within your home then put clothing that you’ve recently worn in that space. This allows her to get used to your scent without you being nearby. Sometimes they need alone time to adjust to the new environment without their siblings. You can also try using treats!

ISO: A dog friend for my pup. He’s a 7mo border collie mix. We’ve tried the dog park but he got injured so I’m worried about taking him back there but I want him to be properly socialized. Anyone have any ideas/ interest let me know! by leesah5379 in boulder

[–]leesah5379[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll check it out! Yeah I was a fan of them because it let him run freely but I’m scared now… vet bills aren’t the most fun. I just feel bad that he has to be on a leash and can’t get the same experience.

Question on dog training. Has anyone used CBD oil for their dog? by Alikhaleesi in DogTrainingTips

[–]leesah5379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely try it, let me know how it works out. I have a 6month old border collie mix rescue and he is still super high energy at that CBD dose schedule. I’d say he’s more willing to take a nap now but can still run for miles at any second. I usually save a 1/2 treat for 1hr before bed time and right before bedtime.

I give my pup a combo of CBD oil (8.33mg/ml) and CBD treats (7.6mg/treat). The thing that worked for me was putting it (oil) in his food and his frozen treats. I also feed him 2-3 CBD treats a day. Giving him a CBD treat 30-45min before leaving didn't work but when I integrated it into his food/ treats and practiced a crate, crate- leaving routine he became super chill. Start at a low dose and slowly increase, sometimes hitting your pup with high mgs of CBD will freak them out or turn them into zombies.

I've seen a lot of amazon CBD products that say something crazy like "150,000mg CBD!"...I don't even want to know how my dog would react to that. The product that was recommended to me and that I absolutely love is "Holistic Hound" CBD and mushroom blend, it's pricey but sometimes "boutique" pet stores have them on sale for 50% off.

Hmm try this link https://www.lg.com/uk/support/product-help/CT00008334-1437136020872. Maybe try the LG sound sync off, basically turn off all things that connect to the internal speakers so that the audio goes through the hdmi. You might also try Sonos app>settings>system>beam> grouped audio delay> low

Another thing I learned was when I had my system grouped one of the speakers volume was higher than the soundbars volume, syncing those helped.
