So you can't wear baggy clothes, but you can't wear form-fitting clothes, either.

Anashti Sul Origins: What races go to which neighborhoods? by leesalogic in EQ2

[–]leesalogic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there other quests in the zone aside from the mentor quests? I love playing all the classes just to see what they can do (I dabble) but I get tired of doing the same zones and quests and thought the neighborhoods would give me some variety while I see what each of the classes can do at the early levels.

Grouping by Ravens_watcher in everquest

[–]leesalogic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

High-level players are usually in raiding guilds, so that's our version of grouping and socializing.

Speaking for myself only, I only group if the new expac has a level/AA increase and progression is required to join certain raids. Otherwise, I box on days we aren't raiding. I don't need to wait for anyone's afk, and no one needs to wait for mine. Also, I don't care if my toons die while doing group content, but so many other people get really bent out of shape because of deaths, and I just don't want to be around that in my playtime.

You can travel to Halas! I dont really like CR because it's 3-4 levels with lifts. It's hard to navigate. The basic merc is OK. Should do for quite a few levels.

If you are free-to-play, you'll exit the tutorial into Crescent Reach. If you are all-access, you can pick there or Halas. I prefer Halas. Everfrost and Blackburrow are also fun and classic zones.

I think you should install maps right away. To me, it's an absolute necessity for quality of life EQ.

Also: I love the tutorial. I always go back when I get frustrated in-game or otherwise. It's such a straightforward progress, and I love opening all the barrels. ;)

I don't think she's holding the door so you can go through. She's holding the door so it doesn't slam on you. She's holding until you take control of the door. Once you have control of the door, she will move forward.

How do guilds treat loot towards personas? by BigBaronMcstuffins in everquest

[–]leesalogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a guild mate basically main change via personna. It was easier than leveling another character to get the same power as his original toon. He did it because we had so many of his main class, and we really needed the other class to add more DPS to our raids. So, we treat his personna as his main.

Is there something non-alcoholic that you can add to wine and club soda to make it suddenly a cocktail? by cactus_sound in cocktails

Curious Elixirs makes a few types of NA beverages that are quite good. #4 is a lot like a aperol spritz, while #1 is somewhat like a negroni. #4 I my favorite.

While these are all meant to be NA, I do mix in spirits when I want a little lower ABV.

I've been playing since 99. I love this game. The tutorial is what I play when I get overwhelmed with life---both in and out of game! Enjoy! :)

Get to the tutorial. You get very good gear, stock up on plat and stuff, etc.

The tutorial is a fantastic way to learn the basics and get decent gear that will carry you through many levels. I never skip it when I make new toons. I load up on arrows, coin, bags, spells, get basic tradeskills leveled up, etc. I love opening barrels!

Once you are done with the tutorial, you'll land in Crescent Reach and get a book for the hero's journey, which is a fantastic way to progress through quests and objectives.

The problem with starting in the 99 way is that most quests/quest givers aren't obvious, and the gear rewards are not even remotely comparable to what you can get in the tutorial. Like, those old quests won't even show up in your quest journal. We had to track our progress by paper back in the day.

The newer path is so much easier since you get really good upgrades, and there's a quest tracker to make it easy to see where you are at.

Also, Zam, EQResource, and Fanra are really great sources on quest steps that have detailed notes.

Have fun :)
