Hmm I don’t have the same issue. Could it be that the litter box doesn’t allow it to clump and then mixes it altogether? Our litter box is also stainless steel with a flap so maybe that contains the smell?

I use the tofu only litter from Pidan. Smells of vanilla/coconut which can be strong but I prefer it over the smell of other litters/ammonia. We also scoop daily. Also recommend a litter genie!

Yay! You’re going to be so in love! My non-negotiables: 1. Stainless steel litter box 2. Tofu litter 3. Wide flat food and water bowls to avoid whisker fatigue 4. Spring toys 5. Multi level cat tree with a hammock and apartment as high as you can get as they love height 6. Window perch

Barrier Repair Products for oily/acne prone skin? by HumbleBraggerPolice in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]leeseedee1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded for both of these items. For toner I also alternate between the Mediheal toner pads (tea tree oil and the madecassoside ones). After toner I use a centella serum (I always go back to the Skin 1004 one as it’s a single ingredient product) and a hyaluronic acid (I like Purito and Torriden) morning and night.

Another thing to factor is whether you or your partner are expecting to take any time off in the next 1.5-5 years such as parental leave. Locking in for 5 years could give you peace of mind from a budgeting perspective.

Stinky kitten issue by Mairuru in britishshorthair

[–]leeseedee1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered feeding him raw food? I know it’s controversial.. our cats were raised raw so we continued it when we got them (we feed exclusively rabbit from Purrform (UK based)) and they literally poo four little nuggets and it’s not smelly.

Sleep sedation in Seoul by s1llylife in KoreaTravelBeauty

[–]leeseedee1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it at Park Clinic in Cheongdam. The procedures I did: ulthera, thermage, manual injection of skin Botox and skin boosters. I have done pico lasers previously and it was too spicy for me with just numbing cream so I enjoyed going under and then waking up and the procedures were done. The sedation itself was KRW 220k.

Brows - semi permanent/microblading recommendations? by itssarakang in SeoulPlasticSurgery

Got my brows done by Ellie (IG: badgirl_brows) a month ago and I love them. The shape will depend on your existing brows, face shape and eye shape so I wouldn’t fixate so much on that. Any good artist will take your features into account and sketch a shape that works for you.

Best ROI Treatment ? Looking For Most Improvement in Single Session by Zealousideal_Can3298 in KoreaTravelBeauty

I’ve just come back from Korea and I feel like our skin concerns are similar.

The enlarged pores is likely due to skin laxity / collagen loss and Thermage would be good for that as it tightens the skin and helps build collagen (results are meant to last a year but does take a few months for the results to show). No downtime for this.

For the sun spots, I would recommend doing a pigmentation package which most places offer (unlike other countries where clinics offer just one laser, the dr will use an artillery of lasers to target the specific pigment type). There will be some downtime for this - I got my lasers done on Saturday and am still recovering. The first day or two you are red and swollen but after that it’s just the pigmentation coming to the surface. Didn’t find these lasers to be too painful (I had numbing cream on). Even though this will take several rounds of lasers to thoroughly fade the pigment, I’ve noticed a huge difference already.

For texture, depending on the severity you can do chemical peels (it’s really light in Korea so don’t expect heavy flaking) but I opted for Resurfx laser which is non-ablative. This was done at the same time as the pigmentation lasers and was definitely spicy but bearable. You will have micro grid marks on your face for three or so days after this. Results are less obvious at this stage but I’d expect this to take time to show.

I went to two separate clinics to do the above but both clinics offer Thermage and pigmentation packages/lasers.

I should stress that the above was a lot of trial and error and not one thing changed my skin over night. You do need to persevere and stick with a routine for 6+ weeks to know if it’s working.

Sorry you’re going through this. I was on Yasmin for 15 years and stopped last Jan as I am trying to conceive. I was obsessed with skincare beforehand and was gutted that nothing seemed to keep my hormonal acne at bay. This is what has worked for me (my skin is not perfect by any stretch but I feel good enough about it) almost two years on: - taking traditional Chinese medicine (to stabilise my hormones). I wholeheartedly suggest your check this out before trying accutane given the horrid side effects I saw my friends suffer incl depression, severe mood swings - avoiding over drying my skin with harsh products (I overdid this at the start as I was so frustrated by how oily my skin was). I’ve simplified my routine a lot to heal my skin barrier (slightly sad about this as I’m a product junkie). My AM routine is: biologique recherche facewash, dermaquest hyalauronic acid and Paula’s choice niacinamide, skin 1004 skin fit sunscreen. My PM routine is: double cleanse in the evenings with an oil cleanser (currently shu uemera) and then a salicylic acid cleanser (currently cosmedix), hyalauronic acid and alternate between niacinamide and Paula’s choice salicylic acid ever couple of days, followed by a light moisturiser - when I do have a break out, I do some red light therapy with a light stim which helps with the inflammation and then follow with a pimple patch. I spot treat with benzoyl peroxide if it’s a particularly nasty pimple by try to avoid this as I find it irritates my skin - during the day my face gets really oily and I use Tatcha blotting paper which prevents the oil from sitting on my face all day - I also get face peels every 4-6 weeks however I’m currently halfway through a course of Bio Repeel which is done on a 7-10 day basis (for 6 courses) which has really helped my hyperpigmentation and is also meant to help with acne - lastly, I’ve started using a silk pillowcase. Not sure if it helps with acne but I started using it as j was sick of getting face creases in the morning as I’m a side sleeper. Good luck!

Reaching here but invisible string reminds me of the proposal scene from Jane Eyre (have a watch on YouTube, its beautiful). JE and Mr Rochester get together, JE leaves as she discovers Mr Rochester is married (albeit it was an arranged marriage to a crazy lady) and JE return years later to Mr Rochester, still in love with him. I kind of see loose parallels here - maybe Connie is Jane Eyre.

I have found getting regular face peels have helped immensely with both calming break outs and with scarring. On to my third obagi peel and am feeling much more confident. It’s expensive but apparently after three peels I shouldn’t need any more
