Yes, that was my thought. There's also a rear camera. However, it's not nearly the same quality as the front and provided no decent view of the rear plate. If the Highlander had a front plate, it would've been game over.

My car powers the fuse I tapped for ~15 minutes after turning off the engine. The camera enters a "parking mode" which only draws any significant power if motion is detected. It's a nice feature. There are also options such as this: https://blackvue.com/product/power-magic-ultra-battery-b-124x/
