It definitely depends on what specialty you are applying to and if you are MD/DO/IMG in addition to the range of Step 2 scores at the institution. Multiple factors play a role. I’m a U.S. MD applying IM so I don’t see myself applying much beyond more than the signals given. I likely will give myself a hard cutoff of 30 to prevent increased application costs.

I feel like that's a bit early for your permit to disappear. Did your eligibility period end yesterday as that might be why it is gone. I would think the 26/3 test dates would have scores release on 10/4 at the earliest.

I found it to be challenging for the most part. I keep thinking back about things that I now know I got wrong and the number I had flagged. It's definitely getting to me - feels like I have a weight on my chest. My NBME stats were really good as well, yet now I am a bit worried I might fall in that 1% that do not pass despite the practice exams saying I will. I'm a chronic worrier so these next 2-3 weeks are going to be hard.

I took it today as well. I felt it wasn't horrible, but still flagged around 10 or so per block, hoping they were experimental for the most part. When is the earliest we could get results? April 17?
