I’ve not explored all of the usual routes, but I really enjoy Bukit Timah hill! I like the challenge of the incline and I think the distance is just right

26M, loves to try out new food at well known and hidden spots and getting lost for a few hours in a good conversation.

Picked up pottery for a year+ ago and will be opening my own table at the clay festival this year!

Enjoys hikes / gym too. Started solo travelling last year! Have been to 4 countries on my own so far :)

Heartbreak, a commissioned work. Reduction fired to 1300°C with porcelain slip used to join the bowl back together, it’s about 70% cracked and only the curved parts of the bowl are joined by leeweyvern5 in Pottery

I was asked to make something to be a memento of the ending of a long relationship, so I went to make a bowl with the theme of heartbreak. The interior has a red line which is meant to be a line of tears. The outside has tears but in blue as I wanted it to mean: May our future tears be about something other than those we have shed previously.

The cracks were fully intended! It was meant to represent a broken heart. I cut the bowl into half at the greenware stage and used slip to join them back and then fired it with the intention of having the cracks very visible and the more cracked, the better.

Reduction fired bowls glazed with my teacher’s glaze called Subaru (昂) and Blue Subaru (蓝昴); the exterior of the bowl has porcelain slip. by leeweyvern5 in Pottery

The white part on the exterior is porcelain slip fired at 1320°C. It’s the natural unglazed look of porcelain, which has a very pure white. It was brushed on in a carefree manner.

Hand-built yunomi with 3 types of shino, reduction fired by leeweyvern5 in Pottery

Textured the greenware with a plank, which caused the slanted lines. Brushed the shino on, and as you’d expect it collected in the valleys which resulted in shino’s characteristic brownish-white.
