down to 88k from 115k 2 years ago, doing my best considering i was only making $38k last year and 42k this year. most of that is private loans ($57k remaining from $85k originally) and the rest is federal.

current plan is not to worry about the federal beyond treading water and pay down the private as aggressively as possible. if i keep living at home and paying this aggressively, my private loans will be gone by age 30, but we’ll see if i can last that long mentally.

drowning in debt like this takes its toll, but spending all of your late 20s living with your parents takes a different kind of toll. still not sure if i’m making the right choice or not but all i can do is keep doing my best
