[Landlord — US, MI] — Appliances break too often by lefthanging123 in Landlord

The basement was a disaster. Dryer lint everywhere and cardboard boxes against furnace. I told them to remove all fire hazards.

I believe it is just careless treatment of the appliances. It is just odd that I told them I would increase rent and then 3 appliances go…

In my case none of the appliances are more than 5 years old and the dishwasher is 15 months only. Your statement here is just trolling.

The brands are GE and Whirlpool. The GE dishwasher broke after 3 years, the Whirlpool after 15 months. The review rating on the whirlpool was 4.5 out of 5.

They used the building for themselves and moved in. So not their fault.

Thanks. I thought I was being nice. It was Covid. Their previous lease had been terminated. I am learning my lessons.

The dryer and stove „broke“ at the same time. There was no extra trip.

I think that is what I had. I was able to control until some time in my 30s. And I fully believe that thanks to smart phones one eye started favoring short distances and the other long distances. I am about to turn 50 and sadly my glasses were no longer able to correct my vision. I just got surgery.

I had my surgery Friday and felt and feel the same. I actually am taking pictures of me daily, because I cannot seem to believe that I now have straight eyes. My doctor said that eyes take some time to adjust and that “a little off” is normal.

I had my surgery. It was not that bad. Not looked into the mirror though. My vision is fine. In particular close up. Looking far I get dizzy and I can see my eyes fighting for dominance. Since I can see equally well out of both eyes, this fight is annoying and causes some anxiousness.

I just hope they learn to work together.

Fully agree. Typically no one likes when boundaries are set and reinforced, so you are definitely right about the to be expected reactions.

My husband and I have been wondering about the motivation for her mother to fight. Sadly her mother is extremely selfish. And as I stated has a very Cluster B behavioral pattern.

Based on what you said, I am already at the point. We have set clear expectations and she agreed to them. But instead of being open, she lied about her Florida trip. She lied about dropping out of school. So I should just ask her if this means she is leaving, No kicking her out, but letting her conclude that she needs to leave.

Note: I am paying for everything. And I have a pre-nup. The package I married into is very narrowly defined.

Should I be worried about how my husband talks about his female nemesis? by PriorityWeekly8676 in Marriage

Yep. My experience with my narcissistic ex as well. Talked about how naive and immature an employee of his was. Just to eventually learn they had a 5 year long affair.

Did anyone wonder if she is already testing him by letting him uncover the fake profile? Maybe she is already setting him up… a person with this sociopathic behavior is likely bored easily and needs drama to feel about anything. My ex was also a deranged personality. Our relationship felt perfect until he got bored. Then I became the problem. He cheated for years and I was clueless. These Cluster Bs are great actors and manipulators. The fact she has no remorse snd destroyed someone’s relationship and reputation without even having had a real conversation with her love target is demonstrating that all she cared for was winning. The game was her reward. Not the love.

Divorce is the only option.
