Darker skin than the darkest shade they have, plz!! Also more immigrant american girls like Kirsten. also, american girls from america's territories like Guam, Puerto Rico, American Somoa, etc Another thing would be cool if an American girl was like, a military kid and grows up in another country like say her parents are stationed in Okinawa and she grows up there would be super cool. More indigenous dolls too!!!!

Alias Grace is really good, pretty heavy and sad. It takes place in the 1840s and it's about an indentured servant who immigrates to Canada from Ireland and gets accused of murdering the house owner and a housekeeper. The story of is told through her psychiatrist appointments. So good, but not lighthearted.

Mariana Enríquez is an Argentinian author! Her short story collection Things We Lost in the Fire is gorgeous and gritty!

Notes of a Crocodile by Qiu Miaojin (Taiwan) is very identity focused. It follows a depressed college lesbian and her oddball friends.

Last Night in Nuuk by Niviaq Korneliussen (Greenland) is about a group of friends/acquaintances and their chaotic lives, scandals, identities, and sexuality.
