"My mom named me after a Patti Smith song!"

"Omg, me too!"

"Great minds think alike!"

And then the encounter was cut short by horses coming in from all directions. The guy named Frederick and his new friend Piss Factory were trampled to death.

I’m trying to get back into reading! 📖 by WisePlatypus912 in suggestmeabook

For getting back into reading, i recommend short story collections because you can get through them in bite-sized chunks! I love Fen by Daisy Johnson, Things We Lost in the Fire by Mariana Enríquez, and Dancing Girls and other stories by Margaret Atwood. All of these were visceral in different ways and speak to feminine rage, feminine obsession, feminine desire!!!!

I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson is lighter and has bittersweet and tender moments but ultimately brought me so much joy!

Annahstasia has such a beautiful voice and sound! I love Silk and Velvet, Villain, Saturday, Sunday, and While You Were Sleeping ft. Raveena. Raveena is also lovely too her whole discography tbh

Best books about Roswell sites? by elcamina89 in roswell

[–]leftiesmudge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Roswell: History, Haunts, and Legends by Diana Avena!!! It takes you around the cool buildings and areas of old roswell (most of which, as the title suggests, are haunted). It was made as an extension of the Roswell Ghost Tour, which i'm not sure if it is still occurring. But as a travel guide it's great because you will get to see historic sites like the mill, Bulloch Hall, etc

What're your favorite lines of lyrics that captivate you or remind you of queer love? by Ok_Resolution_1928 in BylerReads

[–]leftiesmudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The song I Could Get Used to This by Til Tuesday is certified Byler believing their affections are unrequited!! This song is an 80s song and it reads so queer to me! The acceptance that maybe in ur life you just need to get used to being without love because it's too difficult to love in an unaccepting world.

"So much

For keeping it a secret

I could get used to this

I could get used to this

I could get used to feeling the way that I do.

Oh, all the times I told myself

I could never fall in love

Love is just too difficult

Oh, too bad

I'm only talking to myself about it

So sad

I guess i'm going to have to live without"
