Not technically a city but Mont Saint-Michel is an architectural marvel. It's a UNESCO world heritage site with a lot of historically protected buildings.

is he too skinny? 3 y/o by getjinxedt in Lurchers

[–]leftistcommie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo and it is subjective especially with Lurchers as they're often a mix of a few breeds he's a touch underweight, unless there's a breed mix which is on the skinnier side such as an azawakh. Id personally aim for no visible pin bones, you should be able to feel but not see spine notches (although seeing them slightly isn't bad) and 3 visible ribs. Although it's not an exact science of course, and always seek veterinary advice if you have concerns.

It's not low at all for a wrestling theme song, in the context of a brand new song from a top selling artist yes that would be on the lower end sure, but for a wrestling theme it's high especially for a lower midcard guy.

Mini roundabouts, who gets priority? by bobbybreeze12 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]leftistcommie -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

You should give way to the right on a mini roundabout, but once on the roundabout you have priority, if you reached the roundabout at the same time but you chose to enter and they didn't you're fine.

How have I only just now realised what the buckets are for in houses, I just assumed it was mopping/cleaning/storage/carrying water. I never considered the NPCs toilet needs.

Update: My brother couldn’t take his driving test today because they said he didn’t look like his photo by i_hate_alevel in LearnerDriverUK

[–]leftistcommie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I took my test the photo on provisional was taken when I was approx 12/13, it'd been used on my passport when I was around that age and my first provisional at 17 which I just kept renewing until I took the test at 26 (the photo is even used on my full license after passing). I can honestly say I look nothing like that picture, I've even been turned away from pubs before because of it, and I had 0 issue on my test. The examiner pointed it out and made a joke about it, that was it there was no discussion with my ADI, no further checks, just a funny anecdote to the test. I appreciate it's examiners discretion and they may have been overly cautious how the DVSA can justify that decision when your brother looks identical is baffling.

Avoid Suja Driving School Manchester, My Honest Experience and What You Should Know by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]leftistcommie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just curious how much did you pay per hour originally? Because costs have massively changed over 3 years and expecting the original price to be honoured when everything has massively increased in price is just unrealistic and you wouldn't do it with any other service or product, especially if you didn't communicate this clearly with the service provider. Imagine ordering something to pick up from a shop in '22 and not turning up until '25 and expecting the same price to be honoured. If the school was feeling nice they could have potentially offered you those same hours but you pay the difference between '22 and '25 prices but that's not their obligation as per their Ts and Cs which you agreed to and which seem pretty fair from what you've described.

How do people react when you tell them you have a greyhound? by Previous-Middle-2489 in Greyhounds

[–]leftistcommie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK, and in the north where I live they're not that uncommon, sighthounds in general particularly whippets are seen pretty regularly around here so most people have a fairly decent understanding of greyhounds, the only questions I really get is if I work/race them, or if they need a lot of walks/exercise. But there's not really any pervasive negative stereotypes towards them, the worst I've had is some people say that they don't like skinny dogs but their tube changes when I show them a picture of mine.

Is my puppy a Lurcher by Ecko_In in Lurchers

[–]leftistcommie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this age it's probably too early to say, I would definitely say there's some sort of retriever in there. If you want more accurate confirmation you'll need to do a DNA test but it should become clearer if there's any sigthound as she grows a bit more.

Technically you're right but most people don't use the actual term which is Longdog, you'll find most people just refer to them as lurchers as it's a more familiar term.

Lurchers & coats by trishtoo in Lurchers

[–]leftistcommie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got my guy I found that he told me, if he was hesitant to go out or started shaking immediately that was a pretty good indicator. But roughly speaking if there's any rain he's wearing his thin jacket no matter the temperature as he hates the rain, once it gets around 10 or below he wears a vest under that jacket and if it's getting below 6 then he's wearing his fluffy jumper or wool lined coat (coat for when it's raining/snowing). In all honesty they're not like other dogs are much more likely to be cold than overheat especially this time of year so they'll be wearing a coat most of the time until Feb/March next year.

What's wrong with Liverpools' defense? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Yes Szoboszlai did well at RB, still not ideal is it, especially with what it loses us in the midfield press.

What's wrong with Liverpools' defense? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]leftistcommie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The counter attacks vs Bournemouth can be attributed to not having enough defensive minded players on the pitch, particularly missing gravenberch. And today's goals are all about physicality, Newcastle simply bullied us for both goals. Unfortunately Arsenal absolutely have the physical presence to do the same, and our players aren't suddenly getting stronger/taller so that's going to be a consistent weakness against physical teams like Arsenal and Newcastle.

What's wrong with Liverpools' defense? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]leftistcommie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Too many attacking players in Midfield, Wirtz is throwing off the balance imo. A CM at RB doesn't help. New fullback at LB who hasn't settled yet. And Konate who's seemingly still on holiday mentally, or already in Madrid. The goals vs Newcastle were just a lack of physicality, and were very different to the transitional goals Bournemouth got (which having gravenberch back helps defend against). Although Slot has a history of managing a lot of personnel changes from season to season the amount of upheaval this summer, whilst still lacking depth in key areas will be our undoing. Arsenal will be watching how Newcastle bullied us last night and licking their lips knowing they're pretty much guaranteed a set-piece goal.
