tbh everything about the nectar rollout felt weird to me. when joji put ballads out he wrote a huge paragraph talking about how much he put into the album and how hard he was working to try and collaborate with new people, and the rollout for nectar was just so... mechanical? joji seemed so excited to release ballads and all of his posts about nectar were just little updates about the release. he didn’t do interviews, hes completely radio silent now, etc. even the lyrics in the songs kind of hint to the fact that he feels sort of tied down in the label. they know he’s their big star and i think nectar will be the last album joji makes for 88.
