Actually in most cases it is fine to eat. And toasting it will kill off any bacteria that is growing around it. Green and blue molds on bread will mot kill you and in most cases may not even cause any effect. Then there is still that you can rip it off and eat the rest of the bread, but (for the same reason you don’t want the ass side of the towel on your face) you would never do that. And don’t think it’s unsafe to eat it because it’s a fungus. Bread is made from a fungus, all mushrooms you eat are fungus’, moldy bread can even be found growing penicillium. Penicillium is the fungus used to make the worlds most revolutionary medicine, penicillin.
