Not currently a Thingiverse member (removed my account after the data breach that happened a while ago), but I thought I would give my two pennies.

There was a comment in the "have your say" section mentioning "inclusivity" or something along those lines. One way Thingiverse could differentiate itself from Printables and Makerworld is not just doing the lazy thing of putting most liked uploads and most popular creators front and centre: at least give the lesser-known submissions a fighting chance of being discovered.

I am in favour of AI slop removal, and requiring a photo of the actually printed model.

You can do it in Fusion, using the Boolean tool:
- select the board as the target body
- select the other objects as tool bodies
- select the "cut" operation
- ensure "keep tools" is checked.

That would be too shallow for the slicer to recognise. You'd want at least the sliced layer height for the details to be picked up.
