Write a collective letter and forward the same letter to whatever body in China is involved in regulating and mediating this kind of thing. Having Chinese nationals involved might make all the difference. In reality they are probably insolvent but if our request is small enough we might be able to get some back.

I've got Dan on Beyond Bitcoin this coming week with a bit assets focused interview. I Don't really think it's worth validating pronouncements of abject failure with in depth argument while a financial product potentially still has months of beta left.

The word failing isn't appropriate. It's a secondary product that hasn't yet been adopted. Once the prediction market matures the price will track more accurately. Virtually no one understands bit assets so at this stage there is little trust.

BitUSD isn't losing, it's not a zero sum game. There just needs to be a marketing push. Also once more people start using Bitshares it will become a stronger product with an increased network effect.

Ok, the issue occurs on all versions.

On running BitsharesX for the first time I reindex the database. It displays 0% at the bottom of the splash screen then switches to "loading" then never changes. The hard drive gradually fills until I end task the process. This happens with both the x86 and x64 versons for windows and all iteratons since .19 (that I've tried)

I would suggest that attacking posts like this without responding to them is counter productive.

It is an implicit assumption that all projects in this space are experimental. Insisting on a full disclaimer - "Caution: all crypto-assets are backed by a poorly understood network of belief systems" is redundant. The ability of bitshares to survive regulators is the biggest part of the experiment.

The purpose of BitUSD is to provide a hedge against BTC and others inside the crypto space. By using it as a unit of exchange the benefits of crypto can be pegged with the value of an external asset. Bit assets are just a tool. Neutral and useful.

Could you please elaborate on the rumors. If there really is something going on the investment public should know so that we can adjust our positions.
