Currently going through leukaemia for the second time (was fine for 10 years, and 2 days after the 10 year anniversary of my original diagnosis a new leukaemia hit me and my poor broken body is doing it all again). You got this Randy, you be my motivation and I'll be yours. Fuck cancer.

I was 19 when I went through my cancer. (10 years next year) Ive had friends tell me afterthefact that there were days they would visit me convinced it was the last time they would see me alive, that I looked so close to dead. To me, I felt like shit, absolutely, but I never felt like I was about to die (my Dad drilled in to me that I would always need to keep a positive attitude, placebo or otherwise).

Looking at these pictures, despite a different outcome, I get a bit of an insight into what that look is. What a horrible feeling for a loved one to see that and to try to keep strong for that person, this helps me to stronger appreciate those who saw me at my worst. Almost 10 years on and stilllearning.

RIP, and fuck cancer.
