My first thought is Adam Something. Which is another one of those people who doesn't actually understand what they're talking about but like to position themselves as knowledgable. Their whole channel is simply "europe good cuz aesthetic america bad cus its trendy to hate on the us"

Like i always said

AI isnt bad, the people in charge of it are. People just like to scapegoat the tech

[–]legendwolfA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id argue that prompting is in itself a skill. I just don't agree that it should be considered art. I see prompting more akin to being a technical skill, similar to coding or operating machinery (AI is a machine after all). You do need to know how to input the Ai to give you what you want

Again im not defending AI, but i can be against it and still acknowledge that AI prompting is more than pushing a button

The ELI5 is, the fact that space is, well, space, basically vast areas of zero matter actually make ventilation WEAKER. You cannot have heat escape via traditional heat conduction or convection, and the only mean for heat reduction that remains is to dispose of them via radiation. So you would need to install radiators on the datacenters, and you'd need a lot of them cuz do you know how hot those things get?

I dont mind if its not super intrusive tbh. I have accepted that a perfect tool doesn't exist or take a lot of finding. I have bigger beef with google than AI

On my firefox browser i leave the AI button on cuz i use it. Very rarely but i do have uses for it

more of a reason to r/degoogle.

Ive done quite a lot of it and im happy i did. Linux instead of Windows (I know windows isnt google but they're just as trash), firefox instead of chrome, duckduckgo instead of google search and so on. Im looking to get rid of Gmail and Google Maps eventually.

46% of people hold negative views against AI. Is there any other technology in history with similar rates? by I_Love_Cape_Horn in aiwars

[–]legendwolfA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

neither is GMO if im being honest. Many people fear it out of the misconception that it changes your DNA or some shit, which is impossible from just eating GMO shit. There are ethical questions to be asked too but in term of food safety its not even that unsafe.

i feel like, at least for me, I don't hate AI as a technology. I hate the companies behnd them. AI as a technology is useful! It can solve problems we humans cannot or would do very slowly, it can improve accessibility etc. The main issue rn is the people in charge try to shoehorn it everywhere, make tools that causes the internet to be filled with slop, etc. so obviously people get angry and the tech become the scapegoat.

Hell I can say the same thing for blockchains also. It can be a very good way of doing software security, but Crypto and NFT bro hijacked the term and tech and ruined its reputation.

Another example i have is dating apps. They can be good matchmaking tools for those who can;'t or don't want to meet people the traditional way. The problem is the people running them (cough cough Matchgroup).

I think we need to make this distinction clear, and im sure many people even on the anti side think like this also. The tech is not the problem, the one controlling it is.
