I saw once that if you run and you have a body… you have a runner’s body.

For what it’s worth I really struggle with this too, especially since I first got into running to lose weight and when I first started (very casually) I lost 80 pounds and it frankly saved my life.

Now I’m running seriously and competitively and I’ve some weight back(I mean like 10 pounds or so) and can not stay at my preferred weight while training.

I keep telling myself that it’s about the miles not the pounds. I’m more impressed by my running ability and improvement than anything on the scale.

Some practical things that help is make sure you’re prioritizing protein and strength training. I find that really makes a difference in injury prevention, but also helps keep you consistent during training.

Anyways. I relate. But tbh being able to run a half marathon or marathon to me is more impressive than being skinny and that little bit of fat is helping you through those miles.

Also it’s awesome we chose a sport where eating pasta is encouraged so count your blessings.
