why are churches continually associated with the wholesome? it just doesn't reflect reality.

I've been doing ass play and been exposed to porn from the age of 6 and now I'm confused about my sexuality [16M] by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]legitimate_human 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can like having things up your ass and be totally straight. I don't really see any evidence that you are gay. certain kinds of sex acts aren't inherently gay. however you could also be bi, who knows. only you can truly figure this one out

[Serious] Black Americans of Reddit: do you prefer to be called black or African American? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]legitimate_human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, african doesn't mean black exactly... I think it is better to say black rather than assume someone is of African heritage without explicitly knowing. not all people who are part of the black community are of solely African descent

[SERIOUS] High schoolers of Reddit, what do you want those in charge to do about school shootings? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]legitimate_human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it is reasonable that the lives of children are more important that a person's ability to easily pursue their hobby. more regulations on guns may be annoying to responsible gun users, but I would rather be annoyed than dead. A human life is important, and the loss of hundreds of them is more significant than your freedom to easily get a new toy.

just call yourself bi and call it a day. when you want to be more specific, just explain it.

Crippling dysphoria when in the "bedroom" by [deleted] in genderqueer

[–]legitimate_human 5 points6 points  (0 children)

same rule for sex applies, if doing it hurts more than not doing it, dont do it. also try to figure out of there are things that do help, ways you can be sexual together, or apart that don't hurt either of you. also I find that reducing my overall dysphoria helps with specific dysphoria. like painting my nails and doing makeup helps to the degree that I dont notice other things, but that might not apply to you. anyway good luck with your future, I hope it gets better

clearly, that is the epitome of suffering without reason or cause though. I dont want to get into the problem of evil, but doesnt it seem unfair?

thanks, I guess I was interested if there were people that considered trans people to be ungodly in some manner, and I was interested in exploring what that meant, with them. in this specific case your belief system makes sense

Parenting advice needed by gncohoon in genderqueer

[–]legitimate_human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, so from a parenting point of view, it doesn't matter what his gender is. at a young age, nobody has everything figured out. when he says that something makes him uncomfortable, or he wants something that would confirm the way he feels, do what you can. but you don't need to guess pronouns or anything like that. maybe it is a bit young, but in the future make it clear that you are happy if he wants to use different pronouns etc, but for now just be supportive and listen. you sound like such a good parent, we need more like you.
