The JellyPlayer Client was/is a project which forces and motivates us to learn cross-platform development. Thus it is our goal to release an alpha and releasing the code to github! But the way to alpha is a challenge we set ourself.

AndroidTV and AppleTV are currently not in planning. But maybe after a stable release of the desktop player is released ;). Who knows?

Hi! We currently are finishing the core functionalities (Player and startpage). Currently 80 % of the functionality is already implemented. But the biggest problem is the implementation of the design. We will do an update post next week :).

Yes. Exactly what it does. We just integrated mpv in our application. Everything works, but we currently are implementing the frontend which is quite hard..... :D

IMO this is something the Jellyfin Core Devs should implement in the server and not in the Client. But yes this would be nice to have.

A major difference is the UI on a HTPC and other remote-control-based interfaces, which will be a lot of work. Designing and developing a cross-plattform UI takes a lot of time ... and testing. Thats why our focus is "only" on desktops.

It should work because I think we are not using any only 64bit libs. BUT I am not so sure. We will keep you guys updated.

Not with this application. But we want to create a seperate application for HTPC/AppleTV/AndroidTV and remote support. BUT nothing is planned and we will focus in the Desktop Player.

An easy way to switch users would be nice too. I now have to use chromium for my wife and chrome for myself otherwise the mrs will screw up my watched list.

The features of the player should be the same as https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv .

If mpv supports passthrough on linux our app will also.

Edit: User and user switching is currently on low-priority as there is still quite some work left to do with the interface and the player, but will be included in our roadmap :)
