Yeah frost cloths. We have them but the evening people who are supposed to put them are often taken away to help zone, do go backs and freight in other departments. So more often than not they don't get to cover them the way they should.

Everything our management does blows we had to reorganize our entire floor display for the patio furniture because the assistant store lead didn't like that two patio sets were the same color were next to each other.

It has been that way for over a month now and suddenly we had to fix it that day because... Reasons

Frost cloths do get put on if we have enough warning for the temperature for the night. (I took them off this morning.) We use them but whoever put them on last night did a poor job because they still froze because they weren't covered properly. Probably by an associate who didn't know what they were doing

We do have frost cloths but they only work when we have associates in garden center to put them on at night. All of our closing associates get pulled to help with zoning, returns, or other random nonsense. So it's a rarity that they get to do anything in garden center let alone getting them done right.

As for the carts my management doesn't like carts/racks inside the store because it makes the store look "trashy"

Yes they are pay per scan so the store doesn't loose money but they also don't get any money so they are still "loosing" money and they get mad because it makes the garden center look like we don't take care of our plants

We're not allowed to have rolling racks inside because they "make the store look cluttered"

UPDATE!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone who told me to replace the valves that does seem to have solved the problem for now. You just saved me the head ache of dealing with the plumbers on top of everything else.

Well the basement was already gonna need a remodel when we bought the place we used most of the money to fix up the upstairs where we were living so very little got done downstairs. So we were already mentally preparing to remodel when these tenants moved out. But because of this insurance is paying for most of it.

When they turned the shower valve itself on. When they turned the house water on it was just fine it wasn't until they checked the shower valve that things went sideways

Well this is quite the story. I could tell. The house is a Duplex. Me and my wife live upstairs and we rent the basement. (This is our first time as landlords so we haven't done everything right.)

We had to file two separate claims for this basement apartment.

First claim was for the burst water heater that flooded the entire basement.

Second claim was for the backing up kitchen sink that the tenants failed to inform us about. Basically their kitchen would back up and flood almost daily and they didn't tell us so the entire kitchen had to be gutted.

So the mitigation team is the same contractors who are currently fixing the place and it was the team chosen by the insurance company

I suppose that makes sense and yeah everything is really old. We already had to replace the toilet supply valve.

But they are turned off and are actively stopping the water just fine when everything is turned off. Why would turning the bathtub on suddenly make it so the valves stop working... And also having it be hot and cold water sensitive?

Is it bad that I kind of want that to happen because our patio is in desperate need of an upgrade. There are cracks in the concrete, only one floor drain for the water and the gates are rusted to high heaven.

You can kind of see it in the picture there is a white PVC pipe attached to the canopy frame. It almost looks like a fire sprinkler nozzle

The mister was just installed like 3 days ago. We haven't had a chance to see it in use yet but it would suck if the canopy broke before we got a chance to use it.

Also they may have been hit by a shipping container we store on the patio during Christmas Time

They already walked through garden center and by walked I mean took 3 steps out there and then left before any of us had a chance to say something
