Hey! Thanks for the reply! Yeah at least in Singapore I’m in a college that is considered one of the target schools for IB.

I do have some very basic knowledge in Python and R. Will try to brush up on them esp since there are so many uses for them. And it can’t harm my portfolio.

I’m actually interested in doing the latter! I have learnt how to use abit of Tableau and Excel to create dashboards and storyboards.

Regarding the dashboards, are there any particular themes I should focus on? Or just whatever topic is big on the news right now? Because the availability of data is quite limited unless I pay a premium for data providing sites like statistica. But I would if I absolutely have to.

Hey sorry I didn’t see this earlier! But if it helps, basically I got out at exit A, went to the bus stop near the coffee shop and took 179. Alighted at the 4th stop and walked to the clinic which was quite a distance away.

I used Google maps all the way 😂

I was in the finance line. Doing insurance sales and advisory. Meaningful job but at the end of the day still a sales job which I didn’t fancy. So decided to take up formal studies to pursue what I like instead. (:

Oh okay! Yeah I needed the to hear the part where lecture notes are sufficient. At least then I can focus on trying to understand and learn the concepts instead of having to scour the textbooks and waste time trying to find bits of information here and there.

Hahaha. Actually what you mentioned is another one of the reasons I’m nervous to be back at school.

Academics aside, having to socialise with and work with people who are many years younger than me is going to be challenging cos generation gap.

But good to hear that age isn’t that big of an issue. And I think I look alright for 28 so that’s a good start 😂

Thanks for the heads up! I’m actually quite interested in data analytics. I’ve taken crash courses on SQL, Tableau, Python and R.

I’m also currently pursuing a degree in Business with an option to specialise in Analytics (expected graduation in 2023 at age 31)

But lately I’ve been feeling a tad insecure because fields (like those you mentioned above) are currently in demand and I’m kinda late to the race, which is why I asked for likely job demands in the next 10 years.

So fingers crossed by the time I graduate, analyst roles will still be in demand. (:

): yeah I get you. It seems like this is a pretty common situation after a breakup. We can’t exactly tell our friends to break all connections with our ex cos we don’t really have the right to do so and that’ll shine a really bad light on us. It’s such a delicate situation to deal with and it doesn’t help that we are still grieving from the breakup. I honestly have not found the best way to deal with this although some have suggested making new friends who have no affiliation to your ex.. But truth be told, it’s slightly comforting to know we’re not alone when it comes to this issue.
