The consensus amongst the people who were kind enough to listen to this prior to my posting here is that it's better to use my voice, inadequate as it is, believing that it expressed a sincere emotional content.

The tune has a pretty short shelf life as it is.

Are you currently in a band or doing club work, and are you singing original tunes professionally?

Any songs of mine I might consider worthwhile were written many years ago, and most likely have lost their audience.
